Close it, save the URL without returning to the page, and contact PlayStation Support through Sony’s official consumer-support route. Describe the address as a suspected PlayStation Store clone and explain what the page asked visitors to do. If the suspicious material arrived inside PlayStation Network (PSN), use PlayStation’s built-in Report function on the specific message, profile, or other content instead. The correct channel depends on where the suspicious item is hosted.
First, stop interacting with the suspected clone
A convincing logo, familiar colors, or a checkout page that resembles PlayStation Store does not make a website genuine. PlayStation has warned that scam sites can be designed to look like PlayStation.com while trying to obtain personal information. Treat the page as untrusted until you have verified it through an official channel.

- Close the browser tab or window.
- Do not enter a PSN sign-in ID, password, payment-card number, security code, address, phone number, or other personal information.
- Do not pay, download a file, scan an untrusted QR code, or follow a “limited-time” offer from the page.
- Do not revisit the site just to collect screenshots or more evidence. The URL and your description are enough to start a support report.
PlayStation’s security guidance recommends using trusted official channels and being cautious with suspicious offers and untrusted QR codes. If you notice suspicious activity on your PlayStation account, contact Support rather than trying to resolve it through the questionable site.
Choose the reporting route by where the scam appeared
A third-party website and a scam delivered through PSN are separate reporting situations. A website that exists outside PlayStation Network is not submitted through the same tool used for player content.

The platform Report tool is for content shared on PSN. It is not a general intake form for an independent domain, even when that domain uses PlayStation branding.
How to report a PlayStation Store clone website to Sony
Sony’s consumer support page routes users to PlayStation Support for PSN accounts, PlayStation hardware, PlayStation Store purchases, and other consumer issues. Use that official route rather than a contact address displayed on the suspected clone.
- Open the official support route from a trusted bookmark or by typing the official PlayStation or Sony address yourself. Start at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Support and Compliance Concerns page, then follow the PlayStation Support link for your country or region. Support options and labels can vary by region.
- Select the closest consumer-support category. An account, Store, or security category is generally more relevant than a business-conduct channel for a website impersonation report. The support page identifies PlayStation Support as the route for ordinary consumer issues.
- State the issue in the first sentence. Say that you are reporting a suspected third-party website impersonating PlayStation Store. This distinguishes the report from a purchase problem or a normal account question.
- Paste the complete URL exactly as you saw it. Include the protocol and path if present. Do not shorten the address or replace it with a search-result link. If you copied it from the browser, check that the entire address is included before submitting.
- Describe the imitation and request. Explain which PlayStation page, Store function, promotion, or sign-in flow the site appeared to copy. Note whether it asked for credentials, payment information, a QR-code scan, a download, or other personal details. These details help Support understand the risk; they are practical reporting information, not a published Sony-mandated checklist.
- Say whether you interacted with it. Tell Support whether you only viewed the page, entered information, submitted a form, downloaded anything, or saw a charge. Do not send a password, full card number, or security code in a support message.
- Submit through the official channel and keep the confirmation information. If the support system gives you a case number or confirmation, save it. Sony’s published guidance does not promise a particular response time, a takedown, or confirmation that a domain will be removed.
A concise description you can adapt
Use your own words, but a clear report can follow this pattern:

Do not put a real password, payment-card number, one-time code, or other secret into a template or support form. If Support needs account verification, use the secure process it provides rather than sending secrets in plain text.
How to report a scam encountered inside PSN
If the suspicious material arrived as a PlayStation message, appeared on a player profile, or was shared through another PSN feature, report the specific content with the platform’s reporting tool. PlayStation’s guidance covers messages, profiles, and other player-shared content and asks users to report the item they believe violates the Code of Conduct.
- Open the message, profile, or other item that contains the suspicious material.
- Choose the platform’s Report option for that item. On a console or in the PlayStation App, the label and menu position can differ by version and region.
- Select the reason that most accurately describes the content and complete the requested explanation.
- Submit the report for the specific item. Do not report unrelated content or a player solely because you suspect that an external website is fraudulent.
PlayStation safety guidance specifically emphasizes the system-level reporting function for scams encountered on PSN. Luke Mears, Manager (Quality & Wellness) – Safety & Moderation, wrote in PlayStation’s May 11, 2018 safety article: “Also remember the best way that you can help keep PSN safe is by using the system level reporting function so if you ever come across anything on PSN that you suspect is a scam you can report it to our Moderation team who will be happy to investigate.” Read the full guidance in “Helping you stay safe on PlayStation Network: How to spot a scam”. That statement concerns scams encountered on PSN; it does not establish a separate reporting form for an independent website.

What to do if you entered your PSN credentials
If you typed a PSN password or other sign-in information into the suspected clone, treat the account as potentially exposed even if the site displayed an error afterward. Act from a trusted device and use PlayStation’s account-security pages, not links in the suspicious message or website.

- Change the email-account password associated with PSN. PlayStation’s compromised-account guidance specifically tells affected users to change the email password. This protects the mailbox that may be used for account recovery.
- Use PlayStation’s account-recovery and support steps. If you cannot change the sign-in method, contact PlayStation Support through the official route. Explain that credentials were entered on a suspected impersonation site and tell Support whether you can still access the account.
- Report the original PSN content if there was one. If a message or profile directed you to the clone, report that specific content with the in-platform tool as well as contacting Support about the external URL.
- Do not send your old or new password to anyone. A legitimate support interaction should use the secure verification process supplied by PlayStation.
PlayStation’s published account guidance does not say that merely visiting a page proves an account was taken over. The important distinction is whether credentials were submitted or you see signs of suspicious account activity; in either case, use the official recovery and Support channels.
What to do if you entered payment information or see a charge
Payment exposure requires a faster response than a report about an unopened page. Contact PlayStation Support promptly and contact the relevant payment provider as appropriate. Tell both parties what information was entered and when, without including full card details in an unsecured message.
If you entered card or payment details but see no charge
- Tell PlayStation Support that the information was submitted to a suspected PlayStation Store clone.
- Contact the card issuer, bank, or payment service through its official contact method and follow its fraud advice.
- Monitor the account using the provider’s normal, trusted app or website rather than links in the suspicious message.
If you do not recognize a PlayStation Store charge
PlayStation directs users with an unrecognized Store charge to check PlayStation Store transaction history and contact Support. Check the history from the official account interface, note the transaction date and amount, and use the support process for unauthorized payments. If the payment provider also requires a dispute or card block, follow its instructions.
A report about a clone and a dispute about a charge are related but different tasks: the URL tells Sony about the suspected impersonation, while transaction details allow Support and the payment provider to investigate a specific payment.

How to preserve useful information without exposing yourself
Support can act on a clear URL and description; you do not need to become an investigator. Before closing the page, if it is safe to do so without clicking anything, note:
- The complete web address, including any unusual path after the domain.
- The date and approximate time you saw it.
- The PlayStation page, Store promotion, sign-in screen, or other feature it appeared to imitate.
- The fields or actions it requested, such as a password, payment number, QR-code scan, download, or personal details.
- Whether the link arrived through a PSN message, a profile, email, social post, advertisement, or a normal web search.
- Whether you submitted anything or saw an account or payment problem afterward.
Do not click additional buttons to prove that the page is fraudulent, test a checkout, or collect more screenshots. If you already have a screenshot, keep it for Support, but redact passwords, full payment numbers, security codes, addresses, and other sensitive information before attaching it.

The fact that a page uses PlayStation names or artwork does not tell you which reporting system applies. The key question is where the suspicious item is hosted:
- Outside PSN: Use official consumer PlayStation Support to raise the impersonation concern. The official sources do not identify a dedicated Sony form or email address specifically for third-party PlayStation Store clones.
- Inside PSN: Use Report on the exact message, profile, or shared content. This sends platform content to the moderation process described by PlayStation.
- Both: If a PSN message links to an external clone, report the PSN content and separately give the external URL to PlayStation Support.
This distinction prevents two common mistakes: trying to submit an independent domain through a player-report menu, or reporting a player without reporting the actual PSN content that contains the scam.

Do not use the compliance channel for an ordinary consumer scam report
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s support and compliance page describes PlayStation Support for PSN accounts, hardware, Store purchases, and other consumer concerns. It also describes an ethics and compliance route for unethical behavior or business misconduct related to Sony Interactive Entertainment or a business partner. A suspected copycat Store website is ordinarily a consumer security concern, so start with PlayStation Support unless your situation genuinely concerns misconduct by Sony Interactive Entertainment or one of its business partners.
Using the closest accurate category gives Support the context it needs. Do not label an unrelated player, payment dispute, or ordinary account problem as business misconduct simply because a suspicious website was involved.
What Sony may—and may not—tell you afterward
Send the report with realistic expectations. The official pages explain where to seek help, but they do not promise that Sony will take down a reported domain, confirm receipt of every website report, identify the operator, or respond within a stated period. Sony may need to protect an investigation or may be unable to control infrastructure hosted by another organization.

It means the public guidance available to consumers points to the normal PlayStation Support route. For country-specific contact options, follow the official PlayStation Support site for your region rather than relying on a number, email address, or link supplied by the suspicious page.
A practical decision checklist
Use this sequence when you are unsure what to do next:
