Genius Sonority says it will refund the unused paid portion of THE NEW DENPA MEN’s in-game currency after service ends. The game is scheduled to close on December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The refund request period and instructions have not yet been announced; the company says they will be posted on the official end-of-service notice after shutdown.
What can you get refunded?
The announced refund covers unused in-game currency in the paid portion, under Article 20, Paragraph 1 of Japan’s Payment Services Act. It is a specific end-of-service refund, not a promise to reimburse every purchase. The notice does not say that spent currency, items already bought, or all past purchases are refundable.
This is separate from the game’s ordinary refund policy: its FAQ says it does not accept routine refund requests for purchased Jewels or paid items. The shutdown notice announces a distinct refund for eligible unused paid currency.
What should you do now?
- Record your Support ID. On the game’s title screen, open Support and note the ID. The operator says the ID is required to request a refund and will remain accessible there through March 31, 2027.
- Keep the app installed. Do not delete it or reinstall it on a new device until the refund process is complete. Genius Sonority says it needs the app data to verify player information when handling inquiries.
- Use paid Jewels before shutdown if you want to spend them. The operator says paid Jewels will no longer be usable after service ends; in-game data, including Jewels and items, will no longer be available afterward.
- Check the official site after service ends. The request window and exact steps are pending. The initial notice does not provide a claim form or direct players to Nintendo, an app store, or another refund channel, so wait for the operator’s instructions rather than guessing at a route.
- Keep purchase records as a precaution. Genius Sonority has not stated what proof of purchase, if any, will be required.

Does the process differ between Switch and mobile?
The game’s FAQ says paid currency cannot be transferred between Switch and mobile, and currency bought on Switch, iOS, or Android must be used on the platform where it was purchased. The shutdown announcement does not explain whether platform balances require separate requests or how they will be handled, so do not assume balances move between platforms or that one platform’s instructions cover another.
Nintendo of America’s general digital-product refund policy says digital payments are final and non-refundable except where Nintendo authorizes a refund or applicable law requires one. That is US policy context, not a substitute for Genius Sonority’s game-specific announcement or a rule for every region and platform.

How to claim unused New Denpa Men Jewels
After the December 7, 2026 shutdown, look for the refund period and procedure on the official THE NEW DENPA MEN news page. Until those instructions are published, the only announced preparatory requirements are to save your Support ID and retain the app data. The operator has not yet specified a form, deadline, or evidence requirements.
