You cannot preserve THE NEW DENPA MEN’s progress for play after its servers close. Genius Sonority says the service ends December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST, and that in-game data such as Jewels and items will no longer be available afterward. Cross-save helps you access the same account on supported platforms while the service is running; it is not an offline backup or a way to keep playing after shutdown.
You can still prepare: confirm your linked account, record your Support ID, and follow the publisher’s instructions for unused paid Jewels. Do not delete or reinstall the app before the refund process is complete.

What happens when THE NEW DENPA MEN shuts down?
Genius Sonority’s end-of-service announcement, published October 5, 2026, sets the shutdown for December 7, 2026, at 11:00 JST. The publisher says: “After the end of service, in-game data such as Jewels and items will no longer be available.” The notice does not offer a save export, offline mode, or permanent archive.
Sales of paid items, including Jewels, ended October 5, 2026, at 11:00 JST. Events still running when service ends will also stop before their scheduled conclusion.

- A variety of playable characters are available, some with unique attributes that affect gameplay and platforming physics.
- Younger and less-experienced players will love playing as Toadette, who is brand new to both games, and Nabbit, who was formerly only playable in New Super Luigi U. Both characters offer extra assistance during play.

What cross-save can—and cannot—do
The game’s March 2025 cross-save announcement says players can use the same account across supported platforms by linking that account. The April 2026 Switch 2 announcement says Switch players can continue with the same save using the same Nintendo Account. Linked devices cannot play simultaneously, and paid currency is not shared between platforms.
These features are for moving between supported platforms while the game service remains active. They do not establish that progress will remain playable after December 7, 2026. Signing in on another device is therefore not a substitute for an export or an offline copy.

Steps to take before service ends
- Check your linked account. Open the game on the devices or platforms you plan to use and confirm that each is accessing the same linked account. This lets you use cross-save while service is available; it does not protect progress after shutdown.
- Record your Support ID. Find it under Support on the app’s title screen and save it somewhere you can access. Genius Sonority says the ID will remain viewable there through March 31, 2027.
- Keep the app installed. The publisher says not to delete the app or reinstall it on a new device before the refund process for unused paid currency is complete, because it needs to verify player data for inquiries.
- Decide whether to spend paid Jewels. The publisher recommends using paid Jewels before service ends. Sales have already ended, and the notice says unused paid currency will be refunded under Japan’s Payment Services Act. It has not yet published the request dates or procedure, so do not assume a deadline or form.
- Check the official game news page for refund instructions. The publisher says it will announce the request process after service ends. The stated refund concerns unused paid currency, not ordinary items or game progress.
Can Nintendo Switch cloud saves or transfers preserve the game?
Nintendo’s Save Data Cloud guidance says an active Nintendo Switch Online membership is required and cloud support varies by game. Nintendo also says cloud backups cannot be accessed after membership expires, although access returns if you resubscribe within 180 days. Support for THE NEW DENPA MEN specifically is not confirmed. Even a console-level cloud backup would not establish that publisher-hosted game data remains available after the game’s service ends.
Nintendo’s nearby-console save transfer instructions describe moving eligible save data between Switch consoles. The transfer removes that save from the source console. It may help move a supported console save to another Switch, but it does not export the game’s server-side account or keep an ended online service running.

Do not try to back up this progress to a microSD card: Nintendo says Switch save data is stored in system memory, not on game cards or microSD cards, in its microSD card FAQ.

The publisher has not announced a way to keep playing THE NEW DENPA MEN offline or retrieve an archive of your game state. Once service ends, cross-save, Switch cloud backups, and console-to-console transfers should not be treated as ways to restore access to unavailable server data. Keep the app installed until refund handling is complete, and retain your Support ID for inquiries.
