On PC, community reports say to hold Ctrl while clicking the zone’s waypoint destination or entrance, then choose the option to create a new instance. This refreshes the selected area; it does not restart your campaign, character, or league.
How to create a fresh zone instance on PC

Go to a waypoint or the entrance to the campaign area you want to refresh.

Hold Ctrl while clicking the waypoint destination or area entrance to open the instance manager. This is a community-reported PC shortcut, not an instruction documented in an official patch note. (Path of Exile community forum, Jan. 5, 2025; PoE2 Wiki, accessed Oct. 8, 2026)

Choose to create a new instance and enter it. The new instance is a fresh version of that zone, with its layout and contents reset according to community descriptions.

If the menu or input differs in your current version, follow the options shown in-game. The sources available for this procedure do not establish equivalent controller steps for PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, so do not assume the Ctrl-click method applies to those platforms.
What this reset does—and does not do
A new instance affects only the selected area. It is useful when you want to revisit or farm a zone in a fresh state, but it does not reset the whole world, erase campaign progress, restart your character, or move you to another league.

These options are not interchangeable: creating a zone instance refreshes one area, /ResetAtlas addresses only the stated Atlas condition, and joining a league may require a new character.
