To review apps authorized on your Discord account, open User Settings > Authorized Apps. Choose Deauthorize beside an app on desktop or in a browser; in the mobile app, tap the x beside it. If you mean an app installed in a server or a linked account such as Spotify, use the separate controls for those instead.
Review and remove an authorized app
These steps apply to an account you can access. Discord’s Authorized Apps guidance describes where to review and remove account-authorized apps; labels or routes may vary as Discord updates its clients.
Desktop or browser
- Select the cogwheel to open User Settings.
- Select Authorized Apps.
- Review the list and select Deauthorize beside any app you no longer want authorized.
Mobile
- Tap your avatar in the bottom-right to open the profile area.
- Tap the cogwheel in the upper-right to open settings.
- Tap Authorized Apps, then tap the x beside the app to remove it.
If you cannot log in or cannot find the setting, use Discord’s official Help Center. The steps above are not a way to revoke access to an account you cannot access; avoid third-party services that claim to revoke Discord authorizations for you.
Check which kind of app or connection you mean
Discord has distinct controls for apps authorized to your account, apps installed in a server, and linked external accounts. Removing one does not automatically remove the others.

Account-authorized apps
An app listed under Authorized Apps is installed directly to your account. Discord says these apps can access information you authorized, but user-installed apps cannot access server or direct-message information except information exposed when you interact with them. For an unwanted account app, use Deauthorize or the mobile x control.
Apps installed in a server
A server app is separate from your account’s Authorized Apps list. Discord says a server owner or a member with Manage Server permission can remove it by kicking the app’s bot from the server member list. If you do not have that permission, ask a server admin; leaving the server is another way to avoid that server’s app.

Linked accounts and Connections
Manage linked services in User Settings > Connections, not Authorized Apps. Discord says disconnecting a Connection revokes its access to that account going forward and permanently deletes information Discord collected from its records. Disconnecting can also remove access to a channel gated by a linked role. For Crunchyroll, Discord’s connection FAQ says to remove the connection in both Discord and Crunchyroll settings to fully unlink it.
If your goal is only to stop showing a connected account on your profile or sharing activity, review the relevant profile-visibility and activity controls as well. Discord documents global and per-connection activity controls in its Data Privacy Controls guidance. The Account Connections FAQ was dated May 23, 2025, and the Data Privacy Controls article July 7, 2026; Discord notes that some features roll out gradually, so availability and labels may differ by client or account.

If you are checking after suspected account compromise
Removing an app is only one part of securing an account you think was compromised. Discord’s compromised-account guidance advises resetting your password, ensuring Multi-Factor Authentication is enabled, and reviewing Authorized Apps to remove unwanted access. It also warns against suspicious links and files, including fake-game or “free Nitro” lures. For Windows users, Discord recommends running a Windows Defender scan; that is advice for the compromise scenario, not a required step for every routine app review.
Discord’s Help Center puts the general precaution plainly: “To keep your Discord account safe, always avoid clicking on links or downloading files from unknown or untrusted sources.”
