You can run a continuous Telugu nursery-rhyme broadcast by looping a rights-cleared video with FFmpeg and sending it to YouTube Live Control Room as an encoder stream. First verify that your channel is eligible, prepare and test the program, then monitor FFmpeg, your network, and YouTube’s stream health. An infinite loop does not guarantee an uninterrupted broadcast, and YouTube may not archive a stream that runs longer than 12 hours.
Before you start: eligibility, content, and a recording plan
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube’s encoder-based live streaming requires a verified channel, no live-streaming restriction during the preceding 90 days, and meeting YouTube’s age requirement. Confirm eligibility before building a schedule; account restrictions or invalid stream credentials can stop a technically correct FFmpeg command from going live.
Clear every part of the program
Make a rights checklist for each song, arrangement, audio recording, voice performance, illustration, animation, and other asset in the stream. Keep the relevant licenses or other permission records with your production files. A familiar rhyme, traditional melody, or copy found online does not by itself establish that a particular recording or arrangement is free to use. Rights clearance for a specific Telugu song depends on that work and its materials; do not treat this guide as a legal determination.
Copyright permission and YouTube monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s monetization policies expect original, authentic content and can exclude mass-produced or repetitive programming even when its creator has permission to use the material. Its July 15, 2025 policy update renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” and clarified that repetitive or mass-produced material falls within it. Make the show meaningfully your own with original performances or arrangements, distinctive animation, Telugu language-learning cues, varied scenes, or a clear educational or thematic structure—not just superficial edits or interchangeable templates. YouTube says monetization review may consider a channel’s theme, most-viewed and newest videos, largest share of watch time, metadata, and About section.

Decide how you will preserve the broadcast
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete video-on-demand archive matters, plan a separate local recording or divide the programming into shorter sessions and test the transitions. A continuously available live feed and a complete saved archive are different deliverables; do not rely on one 24/7 YouTube session to provide both.

Prepare a Telugu program file or playlist
For the simplest FFmpeg setup, combine the intended programming into one tested video file. Alternatively, use a local playlist, but verify every entry and transition before scheduling a long run. Matching media properties make a playlist easier to handle; files with different codecs, frame rates, dimensions, or audio layouts may need conversion rather than stream copy.

- Play the entire program, including the loop point, and check that audio stays synchronized.
- Check the last frames for long freezes, black gaps, abrupt cuts, or an audio tail that does not fit the loop.
- Confirm that every expected file is present and readable, and that titles, visuals, and language cues fit the intended audience.
- Test the exact files and FFmpeg build you plan to use. These are preflight checks, not a guarantee of a fault-free broadcast.
Enable live streaming and configure YouTube
- In YouTube Studio, open Create → Go live to enter Live Control Room. If live streaming is not enabled for the channel, complete YouTube’s verification and activation requirements before the planned launch.
- Create or schedule a stream and choose the encoder streaming workflow. Set the title, description, thumbnail, and visibility, then complete the audience declaration.
- Copy the RTMPS ingest address and stream key shown in Live Control Room. Keep the key private: do not include it in a public script, screenshot, shared document, or log. Anyone with the key could send a feed to the associated stream.
- Use Live Control Room’s preview and stream-health feedback during testing. Confirm the incoming video and audio before making the stream public or promoting it.
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation uses a 24/7 live feed as an example. That establishes that a continuous broadcast is an anticipated use case, not that a particular FFmpeg process, computer, or network will stay connected indefinitely.
Send a looping file with FFmpeg
FFmpeg’s -stream_loop -1 option repeats an input indefinitely. This illustrative starting command reads one local file in real time, encodes H.264 video at 1080p30 and AAC audio, then sends an RTMPS stream. Replace the destination placeholder with the ingest URL and stream key from your Live Control Room; never publish the completed command with the key exposed.

YouTube’s current RTMP/RTMPS encoder guidance lists H.264, HEVC, or AV1 video; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate (CBR); and a keyframe interval of two seconds recommended, no more than four seconds. It automatically transcodes live streams for different playback resolutions. If your source is not 16:9 or 1080p, or your connection cannot sustain the chosen output bitrate plus overhead, adjust the resolution and bitrate to fit the actual source and upload connection. Use the bitrate guidance for the codec and resolution you select.
Using a playlist instead of one file
A concat-demuxer input list can feed multiple files, but there is no single safe command for every playlist: file paths, stream-copy compatibility, codecs, frame rates, and audio properties matter. Validate the list and play through the transitions first. If the files do not have compatible streams, choose and test a consistent transcode rather than assuming they can be copied unchanged. Keep the same private-key precautions for the output destination.

Test, launch, and monitor the feed
- Run a short private or unlisted test using the final input and output settings. Check Live Control Room’s preview and stream-health feedback for moving video and clean, synchronized audio.
- Verify the stream title, visibility, and audience setting, then confirm that YouTube shows the broadcast as live before sharing it with viewers.
- Keep FFmpeg’s output available for diagnosis, but protect any logs or scripts that could contain the ingest URL or stream key.
- Monitor the FFmpeg process, network connection, available disk space, and YouTube stream status. Decide who or what will notice an interruption and how to restart the encoder without exposing credentials.
- If you need a local archive, run a separate recording workflow and check that it is actually writing files and that the destination has enough free space. YouTube recommends a local archive backup.
An infinite input loop only handles the repeat behavior inside FFmpeg. It does not prevent a network outage, process crash, missing or damaged media, invalid key, or YouTube restriction from interrupting the broadcast. The official platform guidance does not prescribe computer specifications or guarantee uptime for an individual setup, so test on the machine and connection you will actually use and arrange supervision and recovery.
Set the audience accurately for children’s programming
Evaluate the Made for Kids setting based on the content and intended audience. Telugu nursery rhymes for young children are a strong reason to assess whether the program is child-directed, but the creator must make the accurate designation for the stream. YouTube requires the audience declaration regardless of the creator’s location and says creators should not rely on automated classification to make it for them. If the classification is genuinely uncertain, consult YouTube’s guidance, the relevant FTC guidance, or qualified counsel rather than choosing a setting to preserve features. YouTube says it can override audience settings, and inaccurate designation may have platform or legal consequences.
