You can run Kannada devotional recordings as a continuous YouTube livestream by clearing the rights for both the songs and the specific recordings, then sending a playlist through an encoder connected to a YouTube stream. The rights check comes first: devotional subject matter, a traditional composition, a purchased recording, or a file labelled “free” does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it.
Clear the rights to every song and recording first
YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions require the provider to have the necessary rights for live use, including music rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Rights can differ by territory and use, and the rights chain for a particular Kannada song cannot be assumed.
Check the underlying composition and the exact sound recording separately. The composition and recording may involve different rights holders; permission to use one does not necessarily cover the other. Before streaming, obtain written permission for the specific recordings and intended use, including continuous public livestreaming and, if wanted, an archived replay and monetization.
Make a track-by-track rights checklist
- Record each song title and identify the exact recording, artist, label, and any known publisher or composition administrator.
- Confirm which parties control the composition and the sound recording, and obtain permission from each relevant rights holder.
- Check the license’s territory, duration, attribution requirements, monetization terms, and any limits on looping tracks or combining them in a playlist.
- Keep copies of the written permissions and contact details accessible while the stream is running.
A devotional song’s traditional origin does not establish that a modern arrangement, performance, or recording is free to rebroadcast. Likewise, buying a download or finding it online does not establish livestream rights.

Prepare for Content ID checks
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects material, it may show a placeholder and warn you; if the material continues, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. A license does not guarantee that an automated match will be avoided.
YouTube advises creators who have licensed third-party content to ask the relevant owner to add their channel to its Content ID allowlist. Ask rights holders or administrators whether allowlisting is needed and arrange it before going live. If a licensed song triggers a match, contact the rights holder and follow YouTube’s instructions.

YouTube’s Creator Music FAQ says Creator Music does not support licensing for live content. It is not a substitute for permissions that cover a livestream.
Build the playlist and visual presentation
Prepare the audio playlist and a visual element you have rights to use. Check the playback order, transitions, volume consistency, and whether the playlist is intended to repeat. Avoid assuming that permission for the audio also covers a cover image, video, or other visual material.

Choose an encoder based on the setup you already have and the stream you want to produce. YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes hardware encoders as one option for advanced setups, not a requirement. Assess your computer, video needs, internet connection, budget, and ability to keep the equipment available before buying hardware. The encoder sources do not prescribe a particular software package, device, or encoding setting for this use case.
Connect an encoder to YouTube Studio
- Enable live streaming in advance. Complete channel setup and check that live streaming is available. YouTube’s encoder guide says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this until the planned launch.
- Create or schedule the stream. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and open its live control room.
- Copy the stream URL and key. Use the URL and stream key shown for that stream. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with anyone who should not be able to send a feed to your channel.
- Enter the connection details in your encoder. Paste the YouTube stream URL and key into the encoder’s streaming destination settings. Load the playlist and visual presentation you prepared.
- Start the encoder feed and verify it. Start streaming from the encoder, then check YouTube Studio for the incoming preview, stream health, and live status. Confirm that audio and visuals are playing as expected before leaving the stream unattended.
Choose between shorter sessions and one continuous feed
The archive tradeoff matters for a 24/7 channel. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. It recommends keeping a local archive backup. An uninterrupted 24-hour replay is therefore not assured for a continuous feed.

If you need reliable individual replays, schedule shorter sessions, plan how to restart them, and record locally if you need a backup. YouTube’s guidance does not promise that a particular restart method will create a seamless viewing experience or reliable archives. If continuous availability is the priority, plan for restart and recovery while accepting that the platform’s automatic archive may not preserve the whole feed.

YouTube’s published setup and archive guidance does not prescribe a 24/7 uptime procedure. Before launch, test the playlist order, visual loop, audio continuity, encoder reconnect behavior, network and power recovery, monitoring coverage, and restart process. These are practical checks, not guarantees from YouTube.

- Copyright warning or placeholder: Check the song against your rights records, contact the relevant rights holder about allowlisting, and follow the instructions shown in YouTube Studio.
- Stream does not appear live: Verify the stream URL and key in the encoder, confirm that its feed is running, and check the YouTube control room for an incoming preview or error.
- Encoder or connection stops: Follow the recovery plan you tested, restore the feed, and confirm the live state in Studio rather than assuming reconnection succeeded.
- Replay is missing or incomplete: A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. Use shorter sessions and local recording when saved replays matter.
- Claim appears after a session: Review the archived stream for Content ID claims and raise any licensed-use issue with the rights holder.
