For a featured character, plan for up to 180 wishes if you are starting with no Character Event Warp pity and no featured-character guarantee. HoYoverse guarantees a five-star character within 90 wishes; the first five-star has a 50% chance to be featured, and if it is not, the next five-star is guaranteed to be the featured character. Your actual target can be lower if you already have valid pity or the guarantee.
How many wishes should you save for a featured character?
On a Character Event Warp, a five-star character is guaranteed within 90 wishes. HoYoverse says the five-star has a 50% chance to be the featured promotional character. If it is not, the next five-star is guaranteed to be featured. These rules imply a worst-case ceiling of 180 wishes for the featured character from a fresh counter with no featured guarantee; 180 is a calculation from the official rules, not an expected cost or a prediction of how many wishes you will usually need. HoYoverse Help Center: Character Event Warp guarantee.
Use the 90-wish cap for reaching the next five-star, then account for whether that five-star is already guaranteed to be featured. Your account’s current pity and guarantee status matter more than a generic savings target.
Set the remaining wish target
- No pity and no featured guarantee: budget up to 180 wishes for the featured character.
- Featured character already guaranteed: budget up to 90 wishes minus your valid Character Event Warp pity.
- No featured guarantee: budget up to 90 wishes to the next five-star, plus up to 90 more if that five-star is not featured.
These are conservative ceilings based on the stated guarantees. They are not average costs, and a five-star may arrive before the cap.

Check your pity and guarantee before you calculate
Look at the in-game Warp history and details for your account’s Character Event Warp progress and guarantee status. The official rules explain how the counters work, but they cannot tell you how many wishes your account has made since its last five-star.
The two Character Event Warps share their pity and featured-character guarantee status, so progress carries into a later Character Event Warp. HoYoverse’s Help Center describes this shared behavior; an official Version 3.3 notice also confirmed that Character Event Warp count carries over between those banners and is independent of other Warp types. Use the live in-game Warp details for the current rules rather than relying on a version-specific notice. HoYoverse Version 3.3 Warp notice.
Turn the wish goal into a Jade and Pass target
Keep two balances separate: Stellar Jades and Star Rail Special Passes that can be used on the character banner. Count passes you already hold, then use the current in-game exchange display to determine how many more wishes your Jades can cover. The conversion should be checked in the client rather than assumed from an older guide or a quoted total.
A simple account-specific calculation is:
- Choose a maximum wish target using your current pity and featured guarantee.
- Subtract the Star Rail Special Passes you already have.
- Convert the remaining wish count using the current in-game exchange display.
- Compare that target with Jades and eligible rewards you can realistically claim before the banner ends.
Check the current banner notice in-game for the target character’s dates and availability. Banner lineups change by version; HoYoverse’s Version 4.4 event Warp notice is an example of a dated lineup, not a current schedule.

Recurring modes and weekly rewards
HoYoverse’s Version 4.2 notice says that after the update on April 22, 2026, Currency Wars and Simulated Universe point rewards merged into a cyclical progression that refreshes weekly on Monday at 04:00 server time and includes Stellar Jades and Star Rail Passes. The notice says the reward amounts matched the original point-reward system, but it does not establish a current numeric total here. Check the current cycle and your unclaimed rewards in-game. HoYoverse Version 4.2 update notice.
The same version notice describes Apocalyptic Shadow, Pure Fiction, and Forgotten Hall: Memory of Chaos as alternating refreshes. Their availability and rewards should be checked in the current client; do not assume a particular mode is claimable on a particular date without checking its cycle.

One-time progress, events, and account-specific rewards
- Unclaimed progression rewards: Check available activities and modes in your account; one-time rewards are not a stable repeatable income source.
- Limited events: Count an event only if it is active and you can claim its rewards before the deadline.
- Returner rewards: Starlit Homecoming has eligibility requirements. Check the current event page and your account’s eligibility before including it. HoYoverse Starlit Homecoming notice.
- Paid reward tracks: Nameless Glory and Nameless Medal are optional paid tracks, not free-to-play earnings. Version 4.2 rewards were specific to that version and should not be treated as current or recurring figures. HoYoverse Version 4.2 update notice.
Version 4.2 also included a 1,600-Jade anniversary gift with a claim window in April–June 2026. That dated reward is historical, not a current source of Jades. HoYoverse Version 4.2 update notice.
Keep Light Cone pulls out of a character plan
Light Cone Event Warp pity is independent of Character Event Warp pity, so Light Cone wishes do not advance the counter you are tracking for a featured character. HoYoverse’s Help Center gives the Light Cone Event Warp a separate five-star guarantee within 80 Warps; do not use that cap when planning a character pull. HoYoverse Help Center: Light Cone Event Warp guarantee.
