Before you start: set up the two-player run
Scratch Creek is online co-op rather than a solo episode with an optional partner. Both players should be in voice communication, because the reported choices can appear as contradictory information: a road sign points one way while the GPS tells you another, and an apparent escape vehicle requires a manual interaction before it can move.

Roseburg road-sign ending: follow the flipped sign, not the GPS
Recognize the setup
After the pair stop because a tree has fallen across the road, look at the physical road sign near the intersection. The reported clue is that the sign has been flipped. The GPS points right, but the sign directs the travelers toward Roseburg on the left.
Exact route
- Complete the fallen-tree stop and wait until the intersection is available for a route decision.
- Have the driver inspect the roadside sign rather than relying only on the navigation display.
- Turn left toward Roseburg, following the direction indicated by the flipped physical sign.
- Do not take the GPS’s right turn at this decision point.
- Continue until the route reconnects with the highway. The walkthrough describes this as a safe way back to the highway.
The key is not simply “always turn left.” It is the combination of this specific fallen-tree scene, the flipped sign and the GPS conflict. If the sign is not flipped in your playthrough, or the intersection has not followed the same preceding events, you may be at a different checkpoint and should not force the choice.
Main late survival route: escape Bill’s house in the trailer
Wait for the opening
The late route begins at Bill’s house, where Bill and an associate can prevent an immediate escape. The walkthrough’s instruction is to wait until both people move away. Entering too soon may leave the characters exposed, so use the available hiding position and watch their movement before interacting with the trailer.

Enter, then unhook the trailer manually
- Remain concealed while Bill and his associate are still nearby.
- Once they have moved, get into the trailer at the property.
- Leave the trailer when the route allows it; do not assume that entering it completes the escape.
- Interact with the trailer connection and manually unhook it. The reported route requires this physical detachment before driving away.
- Only after the trailer is unhooked, drive away from Bill’s property and follow the resulting route.
The manual-unhook step is the easy part to miss. If the vehicle will not move, return to the trailer connection and look for an interaction prompt rather than repeatedly attempting to drive. The guide presents this sequence as the late survival route, not as a guaranteed official ending condition.

The reported hiding choice
A separate unofficial ending walkthrough describes a 3 AM sequence at the bed-and-breakfast. In that account, Marcus should hide under the bed. The same result warns against choosing the bathroom door or the wardrobe as hiding places.

This is the least certain route in the available material. The hide-under-the-bed, tunnel and coffin-room sequence appears only in an unofficial guide result, and no official source confirms those exact prompts. If your game presents different hiding places, follow the visible objective and treat the guide as a clue rather than a command.

Troubleshooting a route that does not trigger
The game sends you to a different road
Confirm that you reached the same scene: the interstate traffic decision and the fallen-tree/Roseburg intersection are separate branches. A turn that is correct at one location is not evidence for another. Rewind to the latest checkpoint and identify the visible landmark before selecting a direction.
The trailer will not leave
Check that Bill and his associate have moved, that you entered the trailer rather than merely approaching it, and that the trailer has been manually unhooked. The reported route treats unhooking as a separate interaction from driving.
The 3 AM hiding place is unavailable
Do not assume the unofficial sequence is universal. Make sure Marcus is the character being controlled, wait for the chase prompt to settle, and inspect every highlighted hiding interaction. If your build uses different labels, record the resulting scene and use the in-game objective as the authoritative instruction.

You reach a safe scene but cannot find an ending title
Some route descriptions call an outcome “safe” because the characters survive a branch, not because the game displays a screen with that exact name. Let the transition complete and check the episode’s own result or chapter state. The available sources do not establish a standardized naming convention for ending screens.
What is—and is not—known about the ending count
There is no reliable official count in the available Steam information. Unofficial search results disagree: one labels five endings while grouping deaths broadly, while another organizes the routes differently. That makes “five secret endings” an unsafe promise. The defensible description is that Scratch Creek contains documented alternate routes, including two early road decisions, a late trailer escape and a reported 3 AM chase path. Your version of the game may present additional variations or label outcomes differently.
For a complete personal record, replay from a checkpoint after each major decision, write down the exact prompt and note whether the episode ends immediately or continues. This method distinguishes an early safe branch from a later survival sequence without assuming that every death or escape is a separate officially counted ending.
