You can schedule a YouTube watch page in advance, then send a continuous study scene to it through an encoder. Scheduling makes the stream discoverable before it starts; it does not keep the broadcast running by itself or guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 uptime. For a live camera or desktop scene, use an encoder on a computer or dedicated hardware. For an unattended loop of prerecorded study footage, a cloud playback service such as StreamNeo is another option.
What “schedule a 24/7 stream” actually means
A scheduled stream gives viewers an upcoming watch page they can visit and set a reminder for. The encoder still has to send video and audio to YouTube. For a continuous broadcast, that means your scene source, encoder, internet connection, and power need to keep working; scheduling alone does not provide an always-on broadcast.
Decide first whether viewers will see a live camera/desktop scene or a loop of prerecorded footage. The encoder workflow below is for sending a live scene from your own setup. A cloud service can play uploaded video, but it is not a substitute for a live camera feed.
Check that your channel can livestream
Your channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do this well before you announce the event. YouTube’s general setup guidance recommends configuring an encoder at least two hours ahead and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event.

Schedule the watch page in YouTube Studio

In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule Stream.

Choose Reuse settings to carry over an earlier setup, or create a new stream. Review the title, description, visibility, and other stream details before saving.

Share the scheduled watch-page URL with your audience. The upcoming stream may appear in subscribers’ feeds, and viewers can choose Notify me.

Confirm the scheduled page is accessible from your channel and on mobile devices before you promote it.

Connect an encoder and start the broadcast

Choose a software or hardware encoder that can capture the scene you intend to show. YouTube supports both; dedicated equipment is optional, not a requirement.

In the encoder, enter the YouTube Live server URL and stream key shown for the scheduled stream. Match the encoder’s output to the stream configuration you selected. The supplied YouTube guidance does not establish a single bitrate, resolution, or keyframe interval that fits every connection and encoder, so use the settings recommended for your encoder and the quality your upload connection can sustain.

Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it publicly. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room and update the encoder with the replacement.

Start the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Wait for the incoming signal and inspect the Live Control Room preview for picture and sound.

When the preview is ready and the scheduled time arrives, click Go live in Live Control Room. Starting the encoder sends the feed; the control-room action starts the public broadcast.

To end the broadcast, use End Stream and stop sending content from the encoder.
Make an unattended setup more resilient
A 24/7 broadcast can fail because of a stopped encoder, power loss, a dropped connection, or a problem with the source. YouTube’s setup guidance does not promise uninterrupted operation for a continuous stream. Test the complete setup before relying on it, and arrange monitoring and recovery appropriate to your equipment.

Monitor audio and video quality, and confirm that the scene source and encoder remain active.

If you need a replay, record locally and verify that the recording file is growing. YouTube warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured in its archive at all.

Plan for late arrivals: DVR may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours, and viewers cannot seek back to before the stream went live.
Know the archive and DVR limits
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not rely on the YouTube replay as the only copy of a long study session; keep and check a local recording if the footage matters.

DVR can let viewers pause or rewind a live broadcast, but YouTube says the rewind range may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Tell viewers who arrive late that they may not be able to rewind to an earlier study period.
