How to Schedule a YouTube Broadcast in Streamlabs Talk Studio

Create a scheduled YouTube event in Talk Studio, then enter its studio and press Go Live when it is time to broadcast.

In Streamlabs Talk Studio, open Schedule (or press Shift+J), choose + Schedule, select your connected YouTube destination, and enter the broadcast type and details. Scheduling creates an event; it does not start the broadcast. When you are ready to present, return to the scheduled item, choose Enter Studio, then press Go Live.

Before you schedule: connect and enable YouTube

Your YouTube channel must be connected to Talk Studio and enabled for live streaming. Streamlabs’ Talk Studio Streaming Destinations guide, last updated April 25, 2025, describes two YouTube setup steps before recording or livestreaming through Talk Studio: verify the channel by SMS/text, then enable live streaming in YouTube Studio.

  1. Verify the channel. Complete YouTube’s channel verification. Streamlabs’ How to Stream on YouTube from Your Web Browser, last updated March 5, 2025, says verification can take up to 24 hours; treat that as the guide’s estimate, not a guaranteed current approval time.
  2. Enable live streaming in YouTube Studio. The Streamlabs destination guide describes going to Create > Go-live > Right now > Built-in webcam and starting an unlisted test stream. It advises waiting 24 hours after the test stream before going live through Talk Studio.
  3. Connect YouTube in Talk Studio. Sign in to Talk Studio and add your YouTube channel as a destination. If the browser asks, allow camera and microphone access; Streamlabs includes these permissions in its browser setup guidance.

If YouTube is missing from the destination list or Talk Studio rejects it, check channel verification and YouTube’s live-stream enablement first. The setup timing above is from Streamlabs’ guides and may not reflect a change to YouTube’s current process.

Schedule the broadcast

  1. Open the scheduler: in Talk Studio, click Schedule or press Shift+J, then click + Schedule.
  2. Choose the destination: select the connected YouTube channel. Confirm you have selected the intended channel if more than one destination is connected.
  3. Choose the content type: select Live-stream if you will present from the studio, or Pre-recorded video to schedule an uploaded recording.
  4. Enter the event details: add the title, description, date and time, and thumbnail as applicable. Check the scheduled time and date before confirming.
  5. Confirm: submit the schedule and wait for Talk Studio’s success notification. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide says YouTube creates an event link; use the confirmation details to share the scheduled event with viewers.

Live stream or prerecorded video?

Choice Use it when Limits stated in Streamlabs’ scheduling guide
Live-stream You plan to present in Talk Studio and start the show from its studio. The guide does not state a prerecorded-file size or duration limit for this option.
Pre-recorded video You want to schedule an uploaded recording rather than present live. The guide, last updated April 25, 2025, states a 5 GB maximum file size and maximum durations of one hour on Standard or two hours on Pro/Ultra. Check the current Talk Studio controls and plan terms because these product limits can change.

The same April 25, 2025 guide states that scheduling is available up to 50 days ahead. Treat that as a documented product limit as of that update, rather than a permanent YouTube rule; if the current scheduler differs, follow the controls it presents.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Enter the studio and start at the scheduled time

  1. Open Schedule and locate the event.
  2. Click Enter Studio beside that scheduled broadcast. If guests will join, enter the studio before inviting them.
  3. Check your audio, camera, and other show settings, then press Go Live when ready. Streamlabs documents Shift+Enter as the Go Live shortcut.
  4. If you entered the studio but are not ready to start, use Schedule to leave and return to the scheduled list.

A scheduled event is not an automatic start command: you still need to enter its studio and press Go Live.

Timing and destination cautions

  • Do not miss the event time. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide, last updated April 25, 2025, says a scheduled stream cannot be started after its scheduled date and time has passed; its stated remedy is to delete it and create a new schedule.
  • Start within the guide’s stated window. The same guide says to go live within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. This is Streamlabs’ product guidance as of April 25, 2025, not a general YouTube policy; check current Talk Studio behavior if the interface has changed.
  • Do not remove the destination after scheduling. Streamlabs says not to delete destinations once a broadcast is scheduled.
  • Share the YouTube event link. After successful scheduling, look for the link in the confirmation details. Streamlabs says YouTube creates an event link for scheduled broadcasts.

Troubleshooting

What happens What to check or do
YouTube is unavailable as a destination, or Talk Studio will not connect it. Confirm channel verification and live-stream enablement in YouTube Studio, then reconnect the destination in Talk Studio. Streamlabs’ setup articles describe these as prerequisites.
The scheduled item is missing or its details look wrong. Reopen Schedule, check the selected YouTube destination and the date/time, and look for the success notification after submitting. Do not assume the event was created without confirmation.
The scheduled time has passed and the event will not start. Streamlabs’ April 25, 2025 scheduling guide says to delete the missed schedule and create a new one with a future date and time.
The event link is not immediately apparent. Review the confirmation details for the YouTube event link. The scheduling guide says YouTube creates one; if Talk Studio’s current confirmation differs, check the event in YouTube Studio.
A prerecorded upload is rejected. Check the file against the scheduling guide’s documented 5 GB size limit and plan-specific duration limits, then verify the current in-product requirements, since those figures may change.

Or let it run in the cloud

Talk Studio’s scheduling workflow is for preparing and starting a broadcast. If your goal is instead to keep uploaded videos looping as a YouTube live stream, StreamNeo runs that stream from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams uploaded videos to YouTube, not a camera feed.
