You can schedule multiple YouTube livestreams from one OBS setup by creating a separate scheduled event in YouTube Studio for each broadcast, then connecting OBS to the stream details for the event you’re about to run. OBS does not automatically switch between scheduled events: select the right event and stream key, check its preview in Live Control Room, and start the event there.
If by “multiple” you mean streams running at the same time, that is a separate multi-output setup—not a scheduling feature. The steps below cover both cases.
First, identify which “multiple streams” you mean
| What you want to do | What to set up |
|---|---|
| Run several broadcasts at different times from one YouTube channel | Schedule a separate YouTube event for each broadcast, then connect OBS to the event that is about to go live. |
| Send the same OBS program to multiple YouTube channels or destinations at once | Use a multi-output approach. Scheduling events and sending to multiple destinations are separate tasks. |
| Run different feeds or scenes simultaneously | Plan separate outputs and verify each destination’s preview. The documented sources do not establish a specific configuration for producing different feeds. |
Schedule several events at different times
YouTube’s scheduled livestream is its own event and watch page. Scheduling lets you share the stream URL in advance and viewers can set reminders. You can create a new event for each broadcast or reuse settings from a previous one. Reusing settings also copies the stream key, metadata, and other settings, so review them rather than assuming the copied details are right for the new event. (YouTube’s encoder setup guide; YouTube’s live stream settings guide)
- Open the scheduling controls. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live, then open the Manage tab.
- Create each event. Choose Schedule Stream. Make a new event for each broadcast, or use the reuse-settings option when the previous event’s details are appropriate. Check the title, visibility, date and time, and other event metadata.
- Open the event you intend to broadcast. In its stream details, identify the stream URL and stream key for that event. A stream key is the credential OBS uses to send video to YouTube; treat it like a password and don’t publish or share it publicly. YouTube allows keys to be created and reused. If settings were reused, confirm the selected key and event are the ones you mean to use.
- Connect OBS to that event. Set OBS to use the appropriate YouTube stream details, then start the encoder. Do not assume the scheduled calendar will make OBS change keys or switch events automatically; YouTube’s documented workflow requires connecting the encoder to the intended stream details.
- Check the matching preview and start the event. In the event’s Live Control Room, wait for the preview, verify it shows the intended OBS feed, and click Go live when ready.
- End the broadcast cleanly. End the stream in Live Control Room and stop sending from the encoder as YouTube instructs.
Prepare OBS and YouTube before broadcast time
YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours before a livestream, and starting it at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start. Use that early window to confirm that OBS is sending to the correct event and that the Live Control Room preview and stream health look right before you make the broadcast public. - Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Keep an event-to-key checklist if you are preparing several broadcasts. For each event, record its title and start time alongside the stream details you have selected; keep the key private.
- Confirm the event date, time, visibility, title, and intended destination before starting OBS.
- Do not click Go live until the matching event’s preview shows the correct feed.
- For a first run or a multi-destination setup, use an unlisted test event and inspect each destination’s preview before a public broadcast.
If you need simultaneous YouTube outputs
Decide first whether you want the identical OBS program sent to more than one YouTube channel, or different feeds running at once. OBS has streaming output components, and an OBS Project forum resource describes a third-party Multiple RTMP Outputs add-on for sending to multiple platforms or channels. That is a route for simultaneous destinations, not evidence that the add-on creates scheduled YouTube events or automatically selects each event’s stream key. (OBS Project forum resource: Multiple RTMP Outputs; OBS output API reference)
Configure each destination with the stream details for its intended event, then verify every preview independently. The cited documentation does not establish current compatibility for a particular operating system or OBS version, nor does it quantify extra CPU, GPU, or network demand. Multiple outputs may require additional encoding or delivery resources; test your actual configuration rather than assuming one OBS output’s load will be enough.

YouTube’s documented stream limits
YouTube Help lists a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are platform limits, not a promise that your computer, internet connection, or channel can sustain that many streams. (YouTube’s live stream settings guide)
Troubleshooting common scheduling mistakes
The wrong event receives the OBS feed
Cause: OBS is using stream details for another scheduled event, possibly because settings and the key were reused. Fix: Open the intended event’s stream details, check the selected key and destination, and verify that event’s Live Control Room preview before going live.

The scheduled broadcast time arrives, but the stream does not start
Cause: Scheduling creates the event; it does not itself start OBS or select an event for the encoder. Fix: Start OBS with the intended event’s stream details, wait for its preview, then click Go live in Live Control Room.
No preview appears in Live Control Room
Cause: YouTube has not received the encoder feed for that event, or OBS is connected to different stream details. Fix: Check that OBS is running and configured for the intended event’s stream URL and key. Allow time for setup and follow YouTube’s advice to start the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

A simultaneous setup fails on one destination
Cause: A destination may be configured with the wrong event details, or the multi-output add-on may not suit the current OBS version or operating system. The cited material does not establish a universal compatibility or resource requirement. Fix: Test each destination separately with an unlisted event, check each preview, and verify compatibility for your specific setup before relying on it for a public broadcast.
