The reliable built-in approach is to create a separate scheduled livestream event for each weekday, organize each day’s songs in a playlist, and start the actual live feed through an encoder or another supported production workflow when it is time to broadcast. Before streaming devotional recordings, confirm that you have the rights required for both the compositions and sound recordings.
What YouTube scheduling does—and does not—do
A scheduled YouTube Live event creates an upcoming livestream event and watch page; it does not automatically send audio or video, or turn a playlist into the live feed. YouTube’s documented path is YouTube Studio → Create → Go live → Live Control Room → Manage → Schedule stream. At broadcast time, an encoder or supported production workflow must send the stream, after which you go live in Live Control Room. See YouTube’s live-stream scheduling and setup guidance.
YouTube playlists are for organizing videos and setting their playback order. They do not function as a weekday livestream scheduler. The official documentation reviewed does not describe a native recurring schedule that chooses a different playlist each day; this describes the documented YouTube workflow, not every possible external automation system.
Plan a sustainable weekday schedule
Before creating events, make a weekly grid so the event pages, song sets, and people responsible for starting the feed all match.

- Day and start time: Choose a consistent time and state the time zone. For an India-facing audience, identify the chosen local time clearly in your channel announcements; YouTube does not prescribe a devotional broadcast time.
- Event title and theme: Decide how each weekday’s stream will be identified.
- Playlist or song sequence: Match the intended set to the correct day.
- Operator: Identify who will connect the encoder and confirm the broadcast is live.
YouTube’s schedule advice recommends setting a sustainable frequency, keeping a consistent schedule, planning content structure and considering how much content you intend to leave public. Introduce the schedule to viewers and communicate changes. See YouTube’s live-stream upload schedule tips.
Organize devotional videos into playlists
- In YouTube Studio, create a playlist for each weekday or devotional theme.
- Add the videos you plan to include and set their visibility as intended.
- Give each playlist a clear title and description so it is easy to match to the corresponding live event.
- Arrange the videos in the desired order; YouTube lets you change playlist order by dragging videos.
Playlist organization helps you manage published videos and their sequence, but it does not make them the live output. The actual livestream feed must be prepared and sent through your encoder or other supported production setup. See YouTube’s playlist creation and management guidance.

Create one scheduled event for each weekday
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- In Live Control Room, open Manage → Schedule stream.
- Create a new event or reuse settings from a previous one.
- Review the title, description, privacy setting, and scheduled time. Make sure the event corresponds to the intended weekday and song theme.
- Repeat for every weekday you plan to broadcast.
Viewers may see a scheduled event as upcoming and choose Notify me for a reminder. This gives each event its own promotional watch page. Reusing settings can reduce repeated setup, but it copies prior metadata, settings, and stream key: check the details and key for each event rather than assuming they are correct. YouTube describes the scheduling flow and reuse option in its Live Control Room guidance, and the reminder option in its scheduled live event guidance.
Start the live feed at the scheduled time
- Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room.
- Connect the encoder to the event using YouTube’s stream URL and stream key.
- Start the encoder so it sends the planned audio and video feed.
- Wait for the stream preview in Live Control Room, then select Go live.
- Monitor the broadcast and confirm that the intended day’s program is playing.
The stream key is a credential that lets the encoder send a feed to your channel. Keep it private and verify that the encoder is connected to the correct event. Scheduling alone does not start the feed.

Check music rights before broadcasting
You are responsible for having the necessary music licensing rights. A devotional subject or religious context does not by itself grant permission to use a recording. Confirm that your permissions cover the compositions and the particular sound recordings you plan to stream. YouTube may detect third-party content during a live broadcast; matched content can lead to a placeholder replacing the stream, and continued detection can interrupt or terminate it. Even if you have licensed the material, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its allowlist. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and the YouTube Terms of Service.
Choose between separate events and external automation

Plan for archives and long broadcasts
YouTube can automatically archive streams that are under 12 hours. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured, so keep a local recording as a backup if your program could exceed that duration. This is an archive limitation, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will be available in every circumstance. See YouTube’s livestream archiving guidance.
