You can check whether Roblox shows the person as online on their profile or in your Friends list, but their privacy settings may make them appear offline even while they are using Roblox.
Can you see when someone was last online on Roblox?
No. Roblox no longer supports a public exact timestamp showing when another user was last online. Roblox announced on October 28, 2024, that it would deprecate the last-online endpoint on November 15, 2024, and would no longer support it.
That change concerns historical last-online times. Roblox may still show a person’s current online status to people included in that account’s chosen audience.
How to check the status Roblox shows
- Open the person’s Roblox profile, or find them in your Friends list.
- Check whether Roblox shows them as online or offline.
If the person appears offline, that is not proof they are inactive. Roblox’s status visibility is controlled by the account owner, and people outside the selected audience appear offline on the profile or Friends list. The status check does not reveal when they last logged in.

How to control who sees your online status
Roblox’s settings path is the same after opening Settings, though the entry point differs by device:
- Desktop: Select the gear icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
- Mobile: Select More in the bottom-right corner, then select Settings.
Then go to Privacy & content restrictions → Visibility & private servers → Visibility and choose an audience under Online Status. Available choices may include friends, trusted friends, followers, users you follow, no one, or everyone on Roblox. The options can vary by age and region. People outside the audience you select see you as offline on your profile or their Friends list.

Online status, current experience, and activity updates are different
Roblox has separate controls for different kinds of visibility. Changing one does not mean the others are changed too.
- Online Status: Controls who can see whether your account is online.
- Show current experience: Controls who can see which experience you are playing. It is a separate setting in the same Visibility area.
- Share activity updates: Controls whether friends receive updates about your recent in-experience activity. Roblox does not describe this as a way to reveal a last-online timestamp.
Can an API or third-party site show the removed timestamp?
Roblox’s October 28, 2024, Developer Forum announcement said the Presence API would limit some users’ presence data to authenticated friends and that the last-online timestamp endpoint would be deprecated on November 15. Roblox said it would no longer support that endpoint.

Roblox Creator Hub documents GetFriendsOnlineAsync for getting a list of online connections and marks the older GetFriendsOnline method as deprecated. This developer-facing functionality concerns current online connections; it is not an official method for retrieving historical last-online times.
There is no basis in Roblox’s official documentation cited here to promise that a third-party extension, lookup game, or website can reliably recover the removed timestamp. Their availability, accuracy, and access to data are not established, and Roblox’s visibility settings still affect what others can see.
