You can run a continuous YouTube study stream by sending a playlist of recorded Marathi lessons from an encoder to YouTube Live Control Room. First confirm that live streaming is enabled for your channel, prepare lessons and audio you have rights to use, then connect an encoder using YouTube’s stream URL and key. The encoder or streaming service—not YouTube’s setup guide—determines how lessons loop. Test the feed and plan separately for archives: YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours, so do not rely on one 24/7 broadcast for a complete recording.
Before you set up the stream
Check channel access and timing
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. The person streaming must be at least 16 years old. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
Prepare a lesson library you can broadcast
Decide which lessons will run, in what order, and whether they should repeat. Make titles and any on-screen labels clear enough that a viewer arriving mid-broadcast can tell what is playing. The playlist and looping controls vary by encoder or service; YouTube documents how to connect an encoder, not one universal prerecorded-video playlist recipe.
Check rights for the entire feed, not just the lesson video: background music, images, slides, clips, and other embedded material can trigger copyright issues. Keep the source lesson files, too, so you can publish individual lessons separately if that suits your students.

Choose where the stream runs
| Option | Where it runs | What must remain available | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local encoder | Your computer running encoder software, or a standalone hardware encoder. | Local device, power, and internet connection for the duration of the broadcast. | Device load, restart behavior, playlist looping, and how you will monitor interruptions. |
| Cloud streaming service | The provider’s service sends the prerecorded feed. | Provider service and a correctly configured YouTube connection. | Supported formats, limits, availability, support, pricing, and terms. |
YouTube’s encoder directory lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. Its listing does not establish current pricing or guaranteed uptime, so check a provider’s current terms and capabilities before choosing it. You can also use StreamNeo, which keeps uploaded videos streaming to YouTube from the cloud; its setup is described below.
Set up the YouTube Live broadcast
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, create a stream or schedule one in Live Control Room. Scheduling can create a watch page and give viewers an opportunity to set a reminder. Follow YouTube’s encoder-stream setup instructions for the current Studio workflow.
- Choose an encoder and prepare the lesson feed. For a local setup, install or configure an encoder on the computer, or use a standalone encoder. Add the lesson playlist and set its repeat behavior in that encoder or service. The exact controls depend on the product; confirm that it can keep sending the feed as intended.
- Connect YouTube. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the YouTube stream into the encoder or streaming service. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the broadcast. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- Start sending and check the preview. Start the feed from the encoder or service, then check Live Control Room for the video preview and stream status. Confirm picture, audio, lesson order, and any on-screen information before relying on the broadcast. YouTube describes the encoder’s role as converting video to a digital format for streaming.
- Monitor after launch. Check that the feed is still reaching YouTube and that audio and lesson progression remain correct. A local setup depends on the local device and connection staying available; interruption handling depends on the encoder or provider.
Plan the archive separately
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Because a continuous 24/7 broadcast exceeds that duration, do not assume YouTube will create one complete archive of the entire run. Retain the original lesson files and consider publishing lessons individually or creating separate, shorter VODs for students who need to revisit a specific topic. The setup documentation does not establish a guaranteed single archive for a stream longer than 12 hours.

Copyright and monetization considerations
Copyright checks can interrupt a live feed
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for third-party content. A match can produce a placeholder warning, and the stream may be interrupted or terminated if the issue remains. If you have a licence for third-party material, the rights holder may still need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Prefer original lessons, and confirm permissions for all included material before scheduling. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Eligibility to stream is separate from monetization review
Effective July 15, 2025, YouTube clarified its policy by renaming “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content”; repetitive or mass-produced material may be ineligible for monetization. Its reused-content policy is separate and addresses repurposed material without significant original commentary, modification, or educational or entertainment value. Marathi language and prerecorded lessons alone do not establish whether a channel will qualify. Owning recordings also does not guarantee monetization approval. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.
