You can keep a prerecorded meditation program live on YouTube around the clock with a local encoder such as OBS or a cloud service, but track labels and YouTube chapters are separate tasks. Keep a timed log of every segment while building the program; publish the tracklist for viewers, then use accurate timestamps to add chapters to a replay. YouTube warns that a live stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured, so do not rely on one uninterrupted 24/7 event to produce a complete, chaptered archive.
Before you go live: confirm rights for every part of the program
Make an inventory of the audio, spoken passages, visuals, artwork and transitions you plan to use. Confirm that your permissions cover YouTube livestreaming, repeated or continuous playback, the territories where viewers may watch, monetization if applicable, and archived playback. Keep copies of licenses and permissions alongside a track-by-track running order. This checklist helps organize your review; it cannot determine whether a particular recording is cleared.
YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions say that creators must hold the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights. YouTube also says that live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. Even licensed music can interrupt a live broadcast if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel. If a stream is interrupted, check YouTube’s notice and resolve the rights or allowlisting issue with the relevant rights holder before restarting with the same material.
Choose how to keep the live feed running
A published YouTube playlist and a live stream are not the same thing: a playlist does not itself create a continuous live event. You need an encoder sending a feed to YouTube, or a hosted service that operates that feed for you.

| Approach | Best fit | What to account for |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo cloud streaming | Creators who want uploaded videos looped as a YouTube live stream without leaving a computer running. | One flat price per slot for any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps; the first day is free with no card. See the setup steps below. |
| Local encoder, such as OBS | Creators who want direct control and can keep a suitable computer, encoder and internet connection operating. | You are responsible for keeping the computer, media source, connection and encoder running. YouTube’s HLS ingestion guide lists OBS as an encoder that supports HLS output. |
| OneStream Live hosted streaming | Creators considering a hosted continuous-stream service other than StreamNeo. | OneStream Live’s 24/7 streaming guide, last updated September 3, 2026, says its workflow is YouTube-only, requires an Enterprise plan and has a maximum duration of 30 days. Check its current terms before relying on those limits. |
| Shorter live blocks plus a separate replay | Creators who prioritize a dependable, navigable on-demand version. | Requires more scheduling or editing, but fits YouTube’s documented archive guidance and chapter workflow better than one continuous day-long event. |
For a local encoder, choose an ingest method supported by your encoder and YouTube setup. YouTube’s HLS documentation describes an HLS-capable encoder and HLS stream key; HLS sends segments and has higher latency than RTMP. That does not make HLS the right choice for every meditation broadcast. Follow the ingest instructions shown for your chosen setup rather than assuming one protocol is universally preferable.
Set up a continuous meditation program with a local encoder
- Build a continuous media source. Assemble the cleared recordings and visuals in the order you want them to play. Configure your encoder or playback workflow to continue through the program and return to the beginning if you want a loop. Check that transitions do not leave unintended silence, frozen visuals or abrupt cuts.
- Set up the YouTube live event. In YouTube Studio, create a live stream and use its stream key in the encoder. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it or share it with people who should not control the broadcast. Select the ingest method your encoder and YouTube setup support; if using HLS, use the HLS stream key and encoder settings described by YouTube.
- Configure and test the encoder. Use the ingest instructions and settings offered for your selected encoder and YouTube workflow; the sources cited here do not establish a single bitrate, resolution or keyframe interval that fits every source and connection. Test privately or as an unlisted broadcast before launch. Listen for consistent levels, confirm transitions and visual continuity, and check that YouTube reports the stream as live.
- Prepare the viewer-facing description. Add the current or complete tracklist, explain that the broadcast is a continuous program, and include any other context viewers need. A description tracklist is useful metadata, but the reviewed YouTube documentation describes chapters on videos rather than a dedicated automatic live track-label feature.
- Plan for interruptions. Monitor stream status during the test and decide how you will notice and respond if the encoder, connection or YouTube feed stops. A local setup depends on your computer, encoder and connection; a test cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Keep track labels and timestamps accurate
Record the elapsed start time and exact viewer-facing label for each track or segment while assembling the program. For example:

These sample labels are illustrative only. If the live program is already running, use elapsed time from the actual start and note changes or delays; estimated timings can mislabel the replay. Publish the tracklist in the description or another clearly identified viewer-facing location, updating it if your workflow allows. Preserve the final log for the replay editor.
Add chapters to a replay in YouTube Studio
YouTube chapters are a feature of videos. For a replay that is available and editable, open it in YouTube Studio and add timestamp-and-title entries to its description. YouTube’s video chapter instructions require the first timestamp to be 00:00, at least three timestamps in ascending order, and chapters at least 10 seconds long. Manual chapters override automatic chapters. Access to advanced features can affect availability, and not every video qualifies for automatic chapters.

- Open YouTube Studio and select the replay video.
- Edit its description and paste the track labels with their verified timestamps, beginning with
00:00. - Check that there are at least three timestamps, that they ascend, and that each chapter spans at least 10 seconds before the next one begins.
- Save the description and check the replay to make sure the chapter labels appear at the intended points.
Do not promise viewers a complete chaptered replay of an uninterrupted 24/7 event. YouTube’s archive guidance says a stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, recommends making a local recording as backup, and warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. For reliable navigation, record locally or schedule shorter live blocks, then publish a separate on-demand version with checked timestamps.
Test the full workflow before publishing
- Confirm that every recording, voice track, visual and transition is cleared for the intended live and replay uses.
- Run a controlled broadcast and check audio levels, transitions, visual continuity, stream status and the description viewers will see.
- Verify the track log against the actual playback rather than relying on planned durations.
- If chapters matter, test the replay workflow with a shorter event and keep a local recording.
- Choose between local operation and hosting based on who will monitor failures, what replay you need, and any service-specific plan or duration limits.
Troubleshoot common problems
The stream stops or YouTube interrupts it
Check the live status and any YouTube notice first. A network or encoder failure may require restoring the connection and restarting the feed; a copyright match may require resolving rights or allowlisting with the rights holder. Do not assume that owning or licensing a track automatically prevents Content ID interruptions.

The track labels do not line up with the replay
Compare the track log with the actual start time and transitions. If the live program started late, paused, or changed order, correct the timestamps before adding chapters. Do not publish planned times as if they were verified elapsed times.
The replay is missing or incomplete
Check the stream duration and YouTube archive status. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured; keep a local recording or publish shorter events when an archive is important.

Chapters are not appearing
Check the description format: the list must start at 00:00, contain three or more ascending timestamps, and leave at least 10 seconds per chapter. Confirm that the video and channel have the needed feature access; manual chapters take precedence over automatic chapters.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos, without a computer or home connection needing to stay on: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops the uploaded program from the cloud and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Each slot includes 10 GB of storage pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team. The same features apply on every plan; only the billing period changes.
Your upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot with no re-encode or quality tiers. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. If you need five or more slots, contact support. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than going live from a camera.
Keep your track log and replay plan even when hosting the live feed in the cloud: continuous streaming does not guarantee that YouTube will capture a full 24/7 archive. Start your free StreamNeo day.
