For stick response, Nacon documents profile and dead-zone adjustments and drift troubleshooting—not a universal stick-calibration wizard or button sequence. The steps below distinguish those tasks so you can configure the controller without relying on an undocumented calibration routine.
Connect the controller to a PS5
- Set the controller’s platform selector to PS5.
- For a wired connection, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable to the console and controller.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode and plug the included USB dongle into the PS5. The controller uses this dedicated receiver for wireless console play; it does not connect to the console over Bluetooth.
- Press the PS button. If you switch from wireless to wired and the console reports that the controller disconnected, press PS again to reconnect.
If wireless pairing does not establish, check that the receiver is connected, the controller is charged, and the dongle and controller are paired. Nacon says the paired dongle LED and controller player LED should remain steady. For the PS5 CFI-1000 series, its guide recommends the console’s front USB port for the dongle. Connect it to a Windows PC
- Set the platform selector to PC.
- For wired play, select wired mode and connect the supplied USB-C cable. Nacon’s guide says the controller should be detected automatically.
- For wireless play, select wireless mode, connect the dedicated USB dongle to the PC, then press the PS button.
Nacon specifies Windows 10/11 and XInput-compatible PC games; it also advises Steam users to select PC mode. Its guide states that PC compatibility is not tested or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Bluetooth on the controller is for compatible audio devices, not wireless game connection to the PC.
Set up the companion app for profile editing
Profile editing uses a different configuration from ordinary PC game use. Nacon’s support procedure, updated August 17, 2026, calls for a wired connection to a PC or Mac, with the controller set to Wired mode, the platform selector set to PS5 or PS4, and the Classic/Advanced selector set to Advanced. Then open the Revolution 5 Pro companion app and follow its prompts. The app’s screens may change over time.

- Connect the controller to a PC or Mac by cable.
- Set the connection mode to Wired, the platform selector to PS5 or PS4, and the Classic/Advanced selector to Advanced.
- Open the companion app and adjust the profile settings you want.
- Exit the app to save before disconnecting or powering down. Nacon warns that changes will not be saved if you turn off or disconnect the controller without exiting the app.
Use the Nacon profile instructions if the app’s current prompts differ from these steps.
Choose a starting profile
The controller includes four preloaded Advanced profiles. Their curves are starting points rather than universal recommendations: the best fit depends on the game and your preference.

With Advanced selected, use the Profile button to switch profiles.
What “calibration” means for the sticks
Nacon’s documented material covers profile customization, dead-zone behavior, firmware updates, and drift troubleshooting. It does not describe a separate universal stick-calibration procedure. You can change how stick movement responds through profiles, but the available instructions do not establish a sequence such as rotating each stick or holding buttons to calibrate it.

When changing stick behavior, adjust one relevant setting at a time and check the result in the game. A game-level dead zone can mask slight idle movement, but this is a troubleshooting option, not a Nacon calibration procedure.
Troubleshoot apparent stick drift
- Check firmware in the companion app. Nacon says a previous Y-axis inversion issue associated with drift was fixed by firmware; check the app for an available update.
- Inspect the active profile and FPS Pro setting. Nacon says FPS Pro deactivates joystick dead zones. That can reveal slight movement if a stick does not return exactly to center, and Nacon advises against enabling FPS Pro on both sticks at once.
- If movement continues, reset the controller. Nacon’s support instructions say to insert a paper clip into the rear reset hole for several seconds. Note or back up custom settings first, since you may need to configure them again.
These are Nacon’s documented troubleshooting points, not evidence that Hall-effect sensors make drift impossible. Read the Nacon drift instructions for its current advice.

Adjust trigger travel separately
Trigger stoppers change the triggers’ mechanical travel; they do not calibrate the sticks. To engage or disengage a stopper, press its button down to unlock it, then hold and slide it. You can also choose short or long trigger travel:
- Classic mode: Hold Profile and fully press the trigger. One vibration indicates short travel; two indicate long travel.
- Advanced mode: Adjust trigger travel in the app and save the setting in a profile.
Know the PS5 feature limitations
Nacon documents no PS5 haptic feedback or adaptive triggers for this controller, and says its vibration feature works on PC and PS4 games, not PS5 games. Its guide lists a USB-C cable, dedicated dongle, joystick heads, D-pads, weights, and metal joystick rings among the included items. If a component is missing, Nacon support identifies MyNacon as the spare-parts route; availability of a particular part can vary.
