Choose Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5 if you want a straightforward setup and clearly defined performance modes. Choose PC if your hardware can meet your resolution and frame-rate goals and you value adjustable graphics, ultrawide support, or keyboard and mouse. Naughty Dog’s PC figures are published targets, not guarantees for every computer, and there is no matched-hardware comparison here to establish a universal winner.
What’s included on both platforms?
Both editions contain the same two single-player adventures: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, following Nathan Drake and his long-lost brother Sam, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, starring Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross. The collection does not include the original games’ multiplayer modes.
How do the PS5 performance modes compare?
PlayStation and Naughty Dog describe three selectable PS5 modes. Their targets give you a clear choice between image detail and frame rate:
| PS5 mode | Published target | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Fidelity | 4K at 30 fps | Favors resolution; PlayStation’s launch announcement describes the target as native 4K. |
| Performance | 60 fps | Balances resolution and frame rate. Naughty Dog’s support description does not state a resolution target for this mode. |
| Performance+ | 1080p at 120 fps | Requires a compatible 120 Hz display. |
PS5 also supports near-instant loading, Spatial 3D Audio, and DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers. These features make it the simpler option if you want to select a mode and play without tuning graphics settings.

Can your PC meet the published targets?
Naughty Dog published the following PC specifications on September 28, 2022. Treat the frame rates and settings as the developer’s targets for each hardware tier, not as current independent benchmark results or a promise for every system. The listed storage requirement is 126 GB; HDD or SSD guidance varies by tier.
| Tier and target | Processor | Graphics card | Memory and storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum: 30 fps at 720p, Medium | Intel i5-4330 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 | NVIDIA GTX 960 (4 GB) or AMD R9 290X (4 GB) | 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended); 126 GB HDD (SSD recommended) |
| Recommended: 30 fps at 1080p, High | Intel i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X | NVIDIA GTX 1060 (6 GB) or AMD RX 570 (4 GB) | 16 GB RAM; 126 GB SSD |
| Performance: 60 fps at 1440p, High | Intel i7-7700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | NVIDIA RTX 2070 (8 GB) or AMD RX 5700 XT (8 GB) | 16 GB RAM; 126 GB SSD |
| Ultra: 60 fps at 4K, Ultra | Intel i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 9 3950X | NVIDIA RTX 3080 (10 GB) or AMD RX 6800 (16 GB) | 16 GB RAM; 126 GB SSD |
All four tiers list Windows 10 64-bit. For a 1440p or 4K decision, the Performance and Ultra rows are the relevant published reference points. Your actual results depend on the PC’s components and settings, so the tier names and targets should not be read as proof that a PC version will outperform PS5.

Which version fits your setup?
| If you prioritize… | Better fit | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| A fixed, simple setup | PS5 | Choose among developer-defined modes on fixed console hardware rather than configuring PC graphics settings. |
| More graphics and display options | PC | Adjust settings, use ultrawide support and FSR 2, and match the game to your hardware. |
| Mouse and keyboard | PC | Keyboard and mouse are supported alongside gamepads. |
| A specific high-refresh target | It depends on your display and hardware | PS5’s 120 fps mode targets 1080p and requires a 120 Hz display; Naughty Dog’s PC tiers list targets up to 60 fps at 4K Ultra. |
| DualSense haptics and adaptive triggers | Either | PS5 supports them, and the PC edition supports them through a wired connection. |
Before choosing, check three things: the resolution and refresh rate of your display, whether your PC meets the developer’s tier for your target, and whether you prefer controller or mouse-and-keyboard play. Neither platform is categorically better on image quality or performance based on the published specifications alone.

PlayStation’s upgrade guidance was published for the launch period, so check current regional store eligibility before buying or advising on an upgrade. Under those historical terms, eligible PS4 owners could pay to upgrade; owners of disc copies needed to insert the PS4 disc to download or play the digital PS5 upgrade. A disc-free PS5 could not use that disc-based route, and PlayStation Plus users who claimed Uncharted 4 through that subscription were excluded from the stated upgrade offer.
