IRL Pro is not documented as a 24/7 playlist scheduler. Its documented workflow sends a live feed from an Android phone to a configured destination. For a continuous loop of recorded news segments, use a YouTube Live encoder workflow instead. If you want a live phone camera or presenter, IRL Pro may fit that different job.

The Enhanced IRL setup uses that service’s stream key and dashboard; it should not be treated as a direct YouTube playlist connection. Interface labels can change, so verify them in the current app and account.
Set up IRL Pro for a live Android broadcast
These steps describe the documented Enhanced IRL workflow for a phone-originated live feed. They do not configure a 24/7 recorded playlist or establish a direct-to-YouTube setup.
- Install and sign in. Install IRL Pro on an Android phone, then sign in to the relevant streaming service dashboard.
- Choose a stream protocol. In the dashboard, open Stream Keys, choose RTMP or SRT, and match that choice in IRL Pro. The Enhanced IRL guide recommends SRT over RTMP for less stable mobile connections; IRL Pro still uses a single connection and does not bond networks.
- Copy the full publish URL. Use Publish to copy the entire URL. Do not retype the stream key. The SRT URL embeds the key in
streamid; in the RTMP URL, the key is already at the end. - Enter the URL in IRL Pro. In the app’s broadcast settings, select the same protocol and paste the whole publish URL into the URL/server field. Set resolution, frame rate, and bitrate within the cap for your Enhanced IRL plan; those caps are not general YouTube recommendations.
- Start and check the feed. Begin broadcasting and confirm the dashboard changes from “No signal” to “Streaming.” Inspect the reported bitrate.
- Test before relying on it. The guide recommends beginning conservatively relative to the plan cap and adjusting after a test walk. For a fixed location, test sustained upload and recovery behavior under the conditions you expect during the broadcast.
For protocol details, follow the Enhanced IRL guide; its plan-specific bitrate caps should not be copied into a general YouTube configuration.

Set up a YouTube Live encoder for a recorded playlist
For uploaded news segments that should play continuously, choose an encoder or service that supports looping a playlist and continuous YouTube Live output. YouTube’s documentation describes connecting an encoder to Live Control Room; it does not endorse a specific provider for an India-based channel.
- Enable live streaming. In the YouTube account you will use, activate live streaming. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- Open Live Control Room. Create a stream or select an existing one. Copy the server URL and stream key shown for that stream.
- Configure the encoder. Paste YouTube’s server URL and stream key into the encoder’s corresponding fields. Configure the playlist and verify that it loops as intended. The precise playlist controls depend on the encoder you choose.
- Start sending and verify preview. Start the encoder, then check that YouTube receives the feed and displays the expected preview. Go live as applicable in Live Control Room.
- Test privately or unlisted first. Check that the stream page plays on the devices your intended audience uses, and test the playlist transition, monitoring, restart, and local-recording plan before a public launch. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the platform-side connection.
Choose an encoder with the operational details in mind
Before committing to a service or device, check whether it handles source files and playlist looping, restarts after failures, monitors output, supports the quality you need, offers useful operational support, and fits your budget. The YouTube documentation establishes that continuous encoder options exist, but does not establish which provider is best for India, its local ingest or support, or current provider prices.

Clear rights before rebroadcasting news
A publicly accessible broadcast or clip is not automatically free to rebroadcast. YouTube says live streams are scanned for third-party matches, including another live broadcast; matching content may be replaced with a placeholder, interrupted, or terminated. Even where you have a licence, the rights owner may need to allowlist your channel through Content ID to avoid interruption. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.

Plan for long-stream archives and recovery
- Archive capture: YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Keep a local recording if the archive matters. YouTube archive guidance.
- DVR rewind: For streams exceeding 12 hours, DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable. Do not promise viewers a complete 24-hour replay. YouTube live-stream settings.
- Recovery: Design and test a restart and recording plan for a genuine 24/7 schedule. Confirm how the selected encoder and the actual YouTube account behave during a disconnect; the cited platform documentation does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
