To stream a Samsung Galaxy camera to YouTube with Larix Broadcaster, create or select a YouTube stream in YouTube Studio, copy that stream’s server URL and private stream key into a Larix connection, allow camera and microphone access, then start sending video. For a scheduled stream, you must also click Go live in YouTube Live Control Room after the preview appears.
Before you start
- A Samsung Galaxy with Larix Broadcaster installed and a working internet connection.
- A YouTube account with live streaming available. YouTube account eligibility can vary; if Live Control Room will not let you create a stream, check the account’s current live-streaming access in YouTube.
- Your YouTube stream’s server URL and stream key. These are stream-specific connection details; keep the key private and do not show it in a screenshot or broadcast.
Larix Broadcaster is listed by YouTube as an Android mobile encoder. The exact Larix controls and Android permission wording can vary by app version, Galaxy model, and Android or One UI release, so use the current labels shown on your device.
Create or select a YouTube stream
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create → Go live to open Live Control Room.
- Choose the Stream tab. For a first stream, edit the stream details and select Create stream. If you have streamed before, you may be able to reuse an existing stream and its settings.
- Set the stream’s title, audience, and visibility in YouTube. YouTube offers public, private, and unlisted visibility; decide who should be able to find or watch the page before sharing it. YouTube documents different default visibility by age group: private for creators aged 13–17 and public for creators 18 and older.
- Keep the displayed stream URL (also called the server URL) and stream key available. Use the values YouTube provides for this stream, not a sample key from a tutorial.
YouTube’s encoder instructions say: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” See YouTube’s encoder setup guide.
Add the YouTube connection in Larix
- Open Larix Broadcaster on your Galaxy and create a new connection. The precise menu name may differ by Larix version.
- Enter the current server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio in Larix’s connection settings. Larix uses a connection URL; Softvelum describes YouTube RTMP addressing as the server/application URL plus the stream name or key. Follow the current values and format supplied for your YouTube stream rather than copying an example connection from elsewhere. See Softvelum’s Larix documentation.
- Check that the connection is set to send audio and video, and choose a bitrate that is appropriate for your connection. Softvelum advises checking both for YouTube streaming. There is no single safe bitrate established for every Galaxy and network, so do not assume a setting that works on Wi-Fi will also work on mobile data.
- Save or select the connection using the controls available in your Larix version.
Grant access and check your preview
- When Android prompts, allow Larix to use the camera and microphone. If you previously denied either permission, use your Galaxy’s app-permission controls to enable it; exact Settings labels vary across Android and One UI versions.
- In Larix, check the camera preview, framing, and selected audio source before starting. Speak briefly and confirm the microphone is picking up sound.
- Check your surroundings and remove anything private from view. Keep the stream key out of the camera frame and avoid exposing it while navigating between apps.
Start the broadcast: immediate or scheduled
| Type of stream | What to do | When viewers can watch |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate | Start sending from Larix after the connection is configured. | YouTube says starting the encoder creates the watch page and makes the stream live. |
| Scheduled | Start sending from Larix, then wait for the encoder preview in Live Control Room. Select Go live there when you are ready. | The stream remains pending until you start it in Live Control Room. |
For either path, watch Live Control Room for the incoming preview and any status messages. If the stream is scheduled, starting Larix alone does not replace the separate Go live action.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
End the stream and find its archive
- When you are finished, stop sending the broadcast from Larix.
- YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived after encoder transmission ends. Longer streams are not covered by that automatic-archive statement, so do not rely on an archive for a broadcast that reaches or exceeds 12 hours.
See YouTube’s guidance on managing live streams.
Troubleshoot common setup problems
| What you see | Checks to make |
|---|---|
| YouTube receives no picture or sound | Confirm you copied the URL and key from the intended stream, that Larix has the current server address, Android granted camera and microphone access, and the connection is configured for audio plus video. |
| Larix is sending, but a scheduled broadcast has not started | Open Live Control Room, wait for the encoder preview, then select Go live. |
| The preview has video but no sound | Check Larix’s selected audio source, microphone permission, and audio-plus-video connection setting. Make a short test before an important broadcast. |
| The connection will not work reliably | Recheck the stream’s current URL and key and confirm your internet connection is stable. Network or codec problems can be device-specific; the checks above do not guarantee a fix for every Galaxy or connection. |
Copyright, music, and YouTube rules
Only broadcast video and audio you have the right to use. A live camera stream can still include copyrighted music playing in the background, and permission to use a recording does not automatically grant rights to every song or other material in it. YouTube’s checks and account-specific rules can change, so review the current guidance in YouTube Studio before a public broadcast. Do not reveal private information or the stream key on screen.
Optional audio gear
An external microphone can be useful if the Galaxy’s built-in microphone is not suitable for your setting. Compatibility depends on the exact Galaxy model, microphone connector, and Android support; confirm those details before buying. YouTube lists external microphones and headphones among common hardware for casual live streams, but that does not establish compatibility for a specific accessory.

Or let it run in the cloud
Larix is the do-it-yourself choice when you want to broadcast live from your Galaxy camera. If instead you want a prerecorded video or playlist to keep a YouTube channel live around the clock, StreamNeo uploads and loops those videos from the cloud; it does not broadcast a camera feed.
- Nothing has to stay on at home: your computer can be off and your home connection is not needed to keep the cloud stream running.
- Every slot streams your upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers.
- StreamNeo can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card, one free day per account.
The monthly option is $9.99 per month. Each slot includes one always-on YouTube stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team. Plans have the same features; only the billing period changes. See StreamNeo or the plan details, then start your free first day.
