To use SimHub with F1 25 on PS5, run SimHub on a computer connected to the same local network, then configure the game to send UDP telemetry to that computer’s local IP address. SimHub does not install on the PS5. You will also need to allow the connection through the computer’s firewall and use the same UDP port in F1 25 and SimHub.
What you need
- A PS5 running F1 25.
- A computer running SimHub and reachable by the PS5 on your local network. SimHub’s console guidance explains that console telemetry uses the PC software and calls for opening the firewall.
- A dashboard or other compatible device is optional for checking whether telemetry reaches SimHub; it is not required just to verify the connection.
SimHub runs on the computer while F1 25 runs on the PS5. Equipment plugged directly into the console, such as a wheel or pedals, is not recognized by SimHub, according to its console guidance.
Set up the PS5-to-SimHub connection

Find the computer’s local IPv4 address
On Windows, open Command Prompt, run
ipconfig, and note the computer’s IPv4 Address. Use this local network address as the telemetry destination. Do not use127.0.0.1: that loopback address points back to the computer itself, not from the PS5 to the computer. -
Enable UDP telemetry in F1 25
On the PS5, open F1 25’s in-game settings and go to Telemetry Settings. Turn UDP telemetry on and enter the computer’s local IP address as the target address. EA’s F1 25 data-output specification says UDP output is controlled in the game menus, where the receiving IP, port, broadcast mode, and send rate can be configured.

Match the UDP port
Check the port shown in F1 25 and the port in SimHub’s F1 25 game configuration; they must match. A June 2025 PS5 walkthrough shows port
20777, but treat that as the value used in that guide, not a guaranteed default. Verify the live settings in both applications rather than assuming the number. -
Check SimHub’s F1 25 support and format
Make sure SimHub is up to date and configured for F1 25. SimHub’s June 3, 2026 release notes state that version 9.11.14 added support for the F1 25 2026 Season Pack telemetry format; the notes say this format is available regardless of whether the Season Pack was purchased. SimHub also offers a legacy UDP format option for apps that are not up to date.

Test during a race
Start or enter a race, then check SimHub’s connection status. SimHub’s troubleshooting guidance notes that many games are not detected until the player enters a race.
Choose telemetry format and settings for your other apps
EA’s F1 25 specification says the game has a new UDP format while retaining the previous two, and that users can choose the 2024 or 2023 format for older apps. SimHub supports the 2026 Season Pack format and provides a legacy option. If another telemetry app or accessory is involved, check its required format and settings; there is no single send rate or format established as best for every device.

Troubleshoot a missing connection
- Recheck the destination address. F1 25 should target the computer’s current local IP address, not
127.0.0.1. - Allow the traffic through the firewall. SimHub’s console guidance specifically calls for opening the computer firewall for the connection.
- Enter a race. Some games do not appear connected in SimHub until a race is underway.
- Check for network or app conflicts. SimHub lists VPN interception and competing UDP telemetry applications as possible causes.
- Use forwarding if another app also needs the stream. SimHub documents that a UDP stream may be received by only one application and provides forwarding to send received data to another port or computer. See its game configuration and troubleshooting guide.
What SimHub can and cannot do with a PS5 setup
With this arrangement, the PS5 sends F1 25 telemetry over the network to SimHub on the computer. SimHub can then provide its PC-side features for compatible equipment and dashboards. It does not recognize hardware attached directly to the PS5, and the computer is required to run SimHub.
