PRISM Live Studio’s documented mobile video-playlist workflow does not include an automatic now-playing title overlay. The straightforward built-in option is a text source that you update yourself when the playlist moves to another video. PRISM’s automatic title-and-artist display is documented for a desktop music playlist, not a mobile video playlist.
Show a video title with a manual text overlay
On Android or iOS, add a text source in My Studio, put it on the stream screen, and enter the current video’s title. When the playlist advances, edit the text yourself. PRISM’s FAQ describes text sources as editable and says a saved source retains its position and size; it does not describe automatic updates from the active video.
- Open or create the playlist. In My Studio, tap Playlist, create a Video playlist or open an existing one, and select the videos. You can change their order or choose positions by seeking. PRISM’s guide says the playlist is saved as one My Studio item for reuse. See Using Media Playlist.
- Add a text source. In My Studio, create or open a text source and enter the title you want viewers to see. Add that source to the stream screen.
- Place and style it. Position and resize the text on the screen, then adjust its appearance using the controls available in your version.
- Update it as the playlist changes. When a different video starts, edit the text source so it shows that video’s title. This is a manual step; the reviewed PRISM documentation does not establish automatic updating for mobile video playlists.
Why the desktop music-title setting is different
PRISM documents automatic song title and artist display in the desktop Music Playlist source. In the source’s Properties, the option is called “Show music information on screen.” PRISM describes that feature for music; it is not a documented setting for the Android or iOS video-playlist feature. Could a webpage overlay update the title automatically?
My Studio accepts webpage sources, so a custom title graphic or widget could be displayed as a webpage overlay. However, PRISM’s FAQ does not confirm that a webpage source can read or track the active item in a mobile video playlist, nor does it identify a turnkey integration for doing so. You would need a custom overlay that receives the current title and a way to keep that data synchronized; the reviewed documentation does not establish how to connect those pieces to PRISM’s playlist. Check source limits before adding overlays
Available source combinations depend on your operating system, My Studio mode, and version. PRISM’s mobile source-limit guide lists three text sources in Android and iOS My Studio camera/VTuber modes, and one play-feature source. Music, video, and playlists are play features that cannot be used together. The guide also says Basic can display up to two overlays, with Plus required for more than two. Check the current Source Usage Limit Guide for your mode before planning a layout; those listed limits are specific to the configurations described there.
