To sign in to Roblox, open the official Roblox website or Roblox app, choose Log In, enter your username and password, and complete any security verification Roblox requests. Choose Log In, not Sign Up, if you already have an account.
Sign in on the Roblox website
- Go to Roblox.com.
- Select Log In.
- Enter your Roblox username and password.
- Select Log In and complete 2-Step Verification if prompted.
Use your username, not necessarily your display name. Your display name is the public name shown to other players; the username is the account identifier used for standard login. On a profile, Roblox shows the username with an @ beneath the display name.

Sign in on the mobile app
- Open the Roblox app on Android or iPhone/iPad.
- Tap Log In.
- Enter your username and password.
- Tap Log In again, then complete any requested verification.
Android and iOS menus can differ slightly, but the login process is substantially the same. These steps follow Roblox’s official mobile login instructions.

Use a verified email address
You can enter a verified email address instead of your username, followed by the account password. The email must already be attached to and verified on the Roblox account. Enter it exactly as stored.

If one email address is connected to multiple Roblox usernames, Roblox may require you to sign in with the username instead. See Roblox’s email-login guidance.
Use a phone number
Phone-number login and verification are available only for supported accounts and select countries. If available, enter the phone number with the correct country code and complete the SMS or WhatsApp verification Roblox provides. The number must already be associated with the account.
Availability varies by country and account setup; it is not a universal replacement for username login. Roblox explains the requirements in its email and phone verification help page.
Use a passkey
Eligible accounts and devices may offer passkey login. Depending on your device, a passkey can use a PIN, fingerprint, facial recognition, or another built-in authentication method. Support depends on the device, browser, operating system, and account setup.

Roblox says passkeys can bypass a 2-Step Verification code, so protect the device or password manager holding the passkey.
Sign in to a second device with Quick Login
Quick Login lets you authorize a new device from one that is already signed in, so you do not have to type your password on the new device.
On the new device
- Open the Roblox login screen.
- Select Log In with Another Device.
- Note the displayed one-time code. Roblox says it is valid for five minutes.
On the device already logged in
- Open Account Settings.
- Select Quick Login.
- Enter the code shown on the new device.
- Review the device and login information.
- Select Grant Full Account Access only if the details match your request.
A success message should appear when the new device is signed in. Quick Login requires an already logged-in device, and Roblox recommends keeping the devices near each other. It may not be available to every player and is currently unavailable on Xbox. Roblox’s Quick Login instructions also explain QR login. If scanning fails, update the Roblox app, use a compatible QR scanner or camera app, or enter the six-character code when offered.

Console menus vary by platform. Roblox supports username-and-password login on supported consoles, and PlayStation can use Quick Login from a nearby phone or computer that is already signed in. Roblox’s PlayStation instructions provide the platform-specific flow. Do not expect Quick Login to work on Xbox.

Complete 2-Step Verification
After you enter your password, Roblox may request a second proof that you own the account. Depending on what you configured, this can be:
- An email code
- An authenticator-app code
- Approval from another logged-in device
- A security key
- A backup code
- A passkey
Roblox allows one primary 2-Step Verification method at a time, while recommending backup recovery options. A verified email address is required to enable 2-Step Verification. Review Roblox’s 2-Step Verification requirements.
If Roblox sends a second-device prompt
Open Roblox on the already logged-in mobile device and inspect the login information. Approve the request only if you started it. Deny an unfamiliar request. If someone appears to have used the correct password to trigger the prompt, change the password immediately.

If the verification email does not arrive
- Check that you are looking at the correct email account.
- Check Spam, Junk, Promotions, and Social folders.
- Choose Resend Code or Start Over.
- Try another configured verification method.
- If nothing works, contact Roblox Customer Support.
Roblox says email 2-Step Verification codes expire after 15 minutes and may stop working after an incorrect entry. Request a new code rather than repeatedly using an old one. For account-verification emails, Roblox also recommends adding [email protected] to your contacts.

Forgot your Roblox password?
Reset it by email
- On the login page, select Forgot Password or Username?
- Enter the email address attached to the account and select Submit.
- Open the Roblox recovery email and select Reset Password.
- Choose and confirm a new, unique password.
- If Roblox lists multiple accounts, select the correct one.
The email must match the address stored on the account. Do not reuse the old password or a password used on another account. See Roblox’s password-reset instructions.
Reset it by phone
- Select Forgot Password or Username?
- Open the Phone tab.
- Choose the country code and enter the attached phone number.
- Select Continue and complete verification.
- Enter the six-digit code and create a new password.
This works only where the account has a usable phone number attached and the feature is supported.
No email or phone number is attached
The automated reset tool cannot reset the password without a qualifying recovery method. Contact Roblox Support and be prepared to verify ownership. Support cannot guarantee recovery without sufficient proof.

Use the Forgot Password or Username? recovery page with the verified email address or attached phone number. Roblox may show usernames associated with that contact. Some Roblox purchase receipts also include the username.

If you have no verified email, phone number, or purchase history, Roblox says there is no other automated way to recover the username. Remember that a display name is not necessarily your username. More details are available in Roblox’s username-recovery guide.
Roblox will not let you sign in
- Check the identifier: Make sure you are not entering a display name, an unverified email, or a phone number unsupported in your country.
- Check spelling: Try the username and password carefully, then use password recovery if the credentials are rejected.
- Check the clock: Confirm your device’s date, time, and time zone are correct.
- Update and restart: Reopen or update the Roblox app. If the app fails, try signing in through a browser.
- Clear cookies or web data: Do this when the login page loops, behaves incorrectly, or loads the wrong account.
- Fix CAPTCHA loading: Browser or network settings may be blocking CAPTCHA domains. Try a supported, updated browser or a different network.
- Contact Support: If recovery and basic troubleshooting fail, use Roblox Customer Support.
Roblox lists incorrect device time, cookie problems, CAPTCHA restrictions, and password reset among its browser troubleshooting steps. Its browser login guide has additional platform-specific advice.
Keep your Roblox account secure
- Use a unique password that you do not reuse elsewhere.
- Add and verify an email address or phone number where available.
- Enable 2-Step Verification and store backup codes securely.
- Consider a passkey on a trusted device.
- Never share your password, verification code, backup code, or Quick Login code.
- Never approve a second-device login you did not start.
- Do not enter Roblox codes into a page reached through an unsolicited message. Use the official Roblox website or app.
