To apply for a Battlefield 6 playtest, sign in to EA’s Playtesting Portal with an EA Account linked to your chosen gaming platform, register your interest, and accept the playtesting terms. EA selects participants by invitation, so registration does not guarantee access. EA’s current support page lists PC through the EA app, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S; check the portal for current country availability and account-specific instructions.
EA’s published instructions do not establish a reopening date or a closing deadline. Check the official Battlefield Labs page and Playtesting FAQ for the latest status rather than assuming a session date.
How to apply for Battlefield Labs
- Sign in to EA’s Playtesting Portal. Use the EA Account you intend to use for the application.
- Check your account link. Make sure your EA Account is up to date and linked to the account for the platform you want to play on.
- Register your interest and accept the terms. Complete the registration and agree to EA’s playtesting terms. EA’s join instructions provide the official steps.
- Monitor the email on your Playtesting account. EA says selected participants are contacted from [email protected]. Check your spam folder; if a message seems unexpected, verify it through EA’s official site.
- Follow the invitation details. EA may also provide selected participants a link to the official Battlefield Discord for session and community information.
Who can play, and what platforms are supported?
EA lists PC through the EA app, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Its Battlefield FAQ specifies PlayStation Plus for PS5 and Xbox Game Pass Core for Xbox. The cited FAQ does not state a subscription requirement for PC.
| Platform | EA-listed access | Subscription detail in EA’s FAQ |
|---|---|---|
| PC | EA app | Not stated |
| PlayStation 5 | PS5 | PlayStation Plus required |
| Xbox | Xbox Series X|S | Xbox Game Pass Core required |
Is Battlefield Labs open to everyone?
No. EA describes Battlefield Labs as invite-only, and not everyone who registers will be selected. Treat registration as an application for a chance to take part, not as a ticket to a playtest.

EA describes Labs as “a space for play and exploration; an environment where we can test concepts and mechanics with our players before release.” It is a development program for trying concepts and mechanics with players, not public access to the finished game.
Which countries are eligible?
EA’s initial phase covered Europe and North America. EA described Asia-Pacific as a later expansion, but that does not establish that every country in the region is eligible now. Availability can vary; check the current portal for your country instead of relying on the initial rollout description.

For historical context, EA’s February 2025 announcement described the first phase as involving a few thousand players in Europe and North America. That figure describes the initial phase, not a current session cap.

EA’s available join instructions and FAQ do not say whether people who applied previously need to register again. They also do not confirm a new reopening date or deadline. Check the portal and any current EA notice for instructions tied to your account before submitting another registration.
