The generator and piano answers are fixed; the keypad code and safe code vary by playthrough.
You can start the puzzles when you first reach the safehouse after the campaign’s opening mission. Begin in the basement boiler room, then follow the newly opened route from the piano room. This is a spoiler-forward walkthrough; the keypad and safe sections explain how to derive your own codes rather than reuse another player’s.

1. Activate the basement generator
Go down to the basement boiler room and use the controls in this order:
- Turn the middle boiler valve twice.
- Turn the left fuel valve once.
- Press the right pilot button once.
- Turn the middle boiler valve twice again.
An audible success cue signals that the generator is active. This also drains the basement and powers the door you will use after solving the piano puzzle. PowerPyx’s safehouse walkthrough and Shacknews’ guide document the sequence.

2. Solve the piano puzzle
Pick up the blacklight near the piano. Use it on the nearby wall to reveal five note symbols in order, then shine it on the piano keys to match each symbol to its note. Play:
Mi, Re, Si, Do, Re
Some guides show the notes using Russian labels, but the sequence is the same. Playing it correctly opens the door beside the piano.

3. Crack your randomized basement keypad code
Go through the piano door and down to the keypad. Its five-digit code is randomized, so another player’s answer may not work. Use the blacklight to inspect the keys for fingerprint clues, then enter possible combinations and read the display:
- Green: the digit is in the correct position.
- Yellow: the digit is in the code but belongs in another position.
- Red: that occurrence of the digit is not used.
Track each guess and account for duplicate digits: feedback about one occurrence does not necessarily tell you whether another matching digit is present. The fingerprint marks help narrow the candidates, while the colored feedback tests their positions. According to Shacknews’ keypad guide, the keypad resets to a new code after five failed attempts, so treat each attempt as information and use the clues before guessing again.

4. Decode the computer password
After opening the keypad door, use the computer’s number-to-letter cipher to identify the four words shown on screen. The words are HOLDING, ROOM, BUNKER, and OPEN, but their order changes. Match the displayed pattern to the cipher on the computer rather than entering a fixed word order.

Continue into the newly opened basement area and use the lockpick on the locked door. Adjust the control until a pin catches at its tension point, hold it there, and repeat the process for the remaining pins. Take the key from the room beyond and use it on the locked basement corridor door leading toward the radio room.

6. Tune the radio and find the safe digits
In the radio room, adjust the controls until the frequency indicators align and the broadcast becomes clear. Listen for the four objects named in the message; turn on subtitles if that makes the order easier to follow. The broadcast repeats, so you can listen again.
Use the blacklight to find the number associated with each named object. Write the four digits down in the order the radio names the objects. Both the objects and resulting code vary between playthroughs, so do not substitute a code from someone else’s game.

7. Open the upstairs safe
Return to the bedroom upstairs and enter the four digits you collected from the object clues. Opening the safe awards $1,000 for safehouse upgrades, the Case Cracker knife blueprint, and the “The Puzzles, Mason” achievement or trophy, according to PowerPyx.
