How to complete the puzzle
1. Enter the Haunted Floating Festival
Open the event menu and choose the Haunted Floating Festival, or travel through the portal in the Plaza. Both routes are designated event-entry methods. If the festival does not appear before October 7, it is outside the scheduled event window; if you are checking after October 31, the announced event period has ended.

2. Wait for the October 18 unlock
Ghost Hunt Puzzle #9 is not available for the festival’s entire run. Start looking for the puzzle on October 18, 2026. Opening the event interface before that date will not make the 10-ghost objective available.
3. Search the festival grounds
Walk through every connected part of the Haunted Floating Festival and watch for ghost apparitions. The documented requirement is 10 ghosts. No official numbered location list has been published, so a fixed order or landmark-by-landmark route cannot be verified.

4. Photograph each apparition
Equip the game’s camera, aim at a ghost, and take its picture. A successful capture makes that ghost disappear, which is the immediate confirmation that the interaction counted. If an apparition remains, reposition yourself and take another photograph while keeping the ghost clearly in frame.
5. Confirm all 10 captures
Continue the sweep until every ghost has vanished and the puzzle objective registers completion. The reward is the new Ghost furniture item, which can be placed in your Valley after the event challenge is finished.

A reliable search pattern when locations are unknown
The event announcement establishes the number and action, but not fixed spawn coordinates. To avoid overlooking an apparition, use a repeatable sweep rather than wandering randomly:

- Check open spaces, corners, paths and areas behind scenery before crossing to the next connected section.
- Photograph every ghost immediately instead of relying on memory; its disappearance marks that area as cleared.
- After reaching the far side, retrace the boundary and inspect any junctions or sightline breaks you could not see from the main path.
- Check the puzzle counter after each capture. If fewer than 10 have registered, return to uncleared sections and repeat the same pattern.
This is a practical method derived from the instruction to search the grounds; it is not a published route or guarantee that ghosts appear in a particular order.

Why a ghost may seem missing
- The puzzle is not unlocked yet: verify that the date is October 18, 2026 or later.
- An area was skipped: connected festival spaces can be easy to pass through quickly, so repeat a boundary-to-boundary sweep.
- The photograph did not count: keep the apparition in frame and retake the picture; a counted capture is signaled by the ghost disappearing.
- The event is unavailable: the announced festival schedule runs through October 31, 2026. Outside that period, the event portal or menu entry may no longer be present.
What the reward is—and what you do not need
Completing all 10 photographs awards a Ghost furniture item, described by the event announcement as a way to bring haunted decoration back to your Valley. This is entirely an in-game camera hunt: no physical camera, console accessory, guidebook or other purchase is required to solve it.
Verified limits of current location information
The official event announcement confirms the October 18 unlock, 10-ghost count, camera interaction, disappearance cue and furniture reward. It does not provide numbered spawn locations. A separate guide notes that individual locations would be added when the puzzle became available, so claims naming exact spots should be treated as unverified until an in-game or officially documented route is available.
