There is no universal solution for “rotating map puzzles” across first-person shooters: the phrase can mean several different mechanics. In the documented GRAVEN example, the puzzle is a set of rotating symbol blocks in the Clotted Avenues. Read the nearby papers, use the levers to align three specified runes in one vertical column, and look for the pillar to glow when the arrangement is correct.
First, identify what “rotating map puzzle” means in your game
A rotating map might mean a map view, the game world itself, or symbols mounted on a mechanism. Those require different solutions. The example below is specifically GRAVEN’s rotating-block puzzle; it is not a general method for every FPS puzzle or for rotating a literal map.

How to solve the GRAVEN Clotted Avenues puzzle
1. Read the papers beside the mechanism
Before pulling levers, inspect the papers around the puzzle. They identify the symbols you need to find, so use those clues rather than guessing at a lever sequence. The walkthroughs place this mechanism in Clotted Avenues and note the nearby papers (Epic Games Store guide; Games Fuze guide).

2. Identify the three target symbols
- A large diamond with two small circles on each side.
- A square containing a cross or X.
- A crosshair-like square divided by vertical and horizontal lines.
3. Turn the blocks until the symbols form one column
Operate the levers to rotate the blocks until all three clue symbols appear in the same vertical column. The available guide establishes the target arrangement, but not a lever-by-lever sequence for every possible starting state. Follow the symbols’ positions on your own mechanism instead of relying on a fixed sequence.
4. Check the pillar for the success cue
When the alignment is correct, the pillar glows. If it does not, compare the column with the three symbols from the papers and adjust the blocks until all three are aligned.
