For the late-game auxiliary-room puzzle, enter 0825 in the command-centre locker, take the floppy disk from the auxiliary room, and use it at the terminal for the lever clue. For the first auxiliary line, set the levers in this order: vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical, horizontal, vertical, horizontal, vertical, vertical. Other puzzle answers can depend on clues or vary between playthroughs, so check your own documents and screens before copying a code.
How to approach Townfall’s puzzles
SILENT HILL: Townfall is a first-person psychological horror game set in Scotland in 1996. Konami lists its release date as 24 September 2026 and its platforms as PlayStation 5 and PC, including Steam and the Epic Games Store. Its puzzles are part of the storytelling, not just locks between rooms: in a PlayStation feature, Screen Burn Interactive writer and director Jon McKellan said the puzzles were designed alongside the story and can reveal more about Simon’s situation. Use clues before walkthrough answers
Read documents, inspect objects and pay attention to broadcasts and environmental details. The CRTV is a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals; tuning it can provide puzzle hints, and PlayStation’s hands-on report says signals relate to St. Amelia’s and Zoe’s pasts. That makes it worth trying when a clue points toward a signal, but there is no basis to assume every puzzle is solved through the CRTV. PlayStation’s CRTV hands-on report describes its hint role.

Separate fixed clues from changing answers
Walkthroughs can help you locate the next clue or understand how a mechanism works. They are less reliable as substitutes for information shown in your own game: some values are reported to change between playthroughs, and guide transcriptions of monitor information can conflict. When a guide flags a variable value, use the clue in your game.

Auxiliary room and first auxiliary line solution
This late-game sequence appears in Part 6. The route to the auxiliary room is not described as safe: PC Gamer warns that enemies are present along the way. The guide’s reported steps and first line solution are:
- At the command centre, enter 0825 on the locker to get the auxiliary-room key.
- Reach the auxiliary room, accounting for enemies on the route, and enter it.
- Open the room’s locker and take the floppy disk. Use the disk at the terminal to view its instructions.
- Read the disk’s rows as groups of lever positions: the first row refers to levers beside one white line, the second to levers beside two lines, and the third to levers beside three lines.
- For auxiliary line 1, set the levers from left to right as follows:
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Vertical
PC Gamer says the light beside the last lever should turn green when the line is correct. When a walkthrough code does not work
Check whether the value can vary
One walkthrough specifically reports that Richard’s case, Box 36, changes between playthroughs: it lists both 486 and 597 and directs players to their own Complete Grid of Codes. Do not treat either number as universal. The same guide warns that some control-room IDs have conflicting transcriptions; read the number from your CCTV feed when it is visible there.
Make sure you have inspected the clue
A separate fan walkthrough notes that some codes do not unlock until the associated clue or item has been inspected. If a listed answer is rejected, revisit the nearby documents, objects and relevant monitor or camera feed before assuming the puzzle is broken. That guide is unofficial, so regard it as navigation help rather than game documentation.

Try every relevant interaction at a locked door
A Creative Bloq reviewer describes being confused by a door that required both scanning a key card and entering a keypad code separately. That is one reviewer’s experience, not evidence of a universal bug. If a door remains locked after using one method, inspect it again and test the other visible controls or interaction points. The same review describes a blood-bag puzzle that required matching bags to IVs using an injury document, then solving a blood-type and initials clue; read all related paperwork rather than relying on the first part of the solution alone. What is known about puzzle difficulty
Published commentary and guides describe puzzles of varying forms and difficulty, but the reviewed material gives no named statistic for puzzle difficulty, player completion rates or how many players use guides. A reviewer’s account can illustrate a point of friction, but it cannot establish how often players encounter it. For practical solving, the most dependable approach is to treat documents, broadcasts, monitors and environmental details as evidence, and use walkthroughs to clarify a mechanism or locate a clue—not to override a value your own game presents.
