What is the Golden Piano code?
Enter the twelve inputs in this order: up, center, up, left, down, center, right, center, right, down, left, center. The August 9, 2026 UrGameTips walkthrough explains the inputs, and the Deltarune Wiki lists the same sequence.

Where is the Golden Piano?
The piano is at the top of a climbable wall in the Library, in the first Dark Sanctuary. From the Study, go through the Library’s upper-left door, then follow the right-hand climb and the forked climbing hallway. The route requires the ClaimbClaws; if you do not have them yet, continue through the Dark Sanctuary until you obtain them after defeating Jackenstein. The wiki’s route notes and the walkthrough describe the location and prerequisite.

Where are the three clue fragments?
The code is divided into three four-note segments. Find them in the southwest belltower, southeast belltower, and behind the Library donation waterfall, then read them in that order.
Southwest belltower
From the dark room with the swarming Titan Spawn, follow the climbing route to the top and interact with the water bucket. Continue through the Miss Mizzle battle; winning reveals ↑ • ↑ ← (up, center, up, left). The belltower guide and the wiki give the clue location and notes.
Southeast belltower
Near the Lower Right SAVE point and the Old Man’s first appearance, climb into the dark Organikk maze. Find the Wafer silhouette on the far right, follow its guidance north, and activate the floor switch to reveal ↓ • → • (down, center, right, center). Enter the hidden dark maze behind the waterfall. Climb the yellow ripple-marked wall and follow the floor switches to the final blue switch. It reveals → ↓ ← • (right, down, left, center) and starts an escape sequence with a pursuing Titan Spawn. The waterfall route guide covers this segment.
The in-game clue summarizes the search areas: “Melodies three, there be. Two in the southern towers. One where gold strikes water.” Dot Esports reproduces the clue.
Can you skip the clue hunt?
Yes. The complete code works even if you have not visited the two belltowers, and the three displayed clues are optional if you already know the sequence. Enter it directly at the piano, or explore to assemble the same three segments yourself. The wiki and the walkthrough both describe the direct-entry option.

Solving the puzzle opens the fireplace in the Study, creating a route toward the Hammer of Justice encounter. Opening that passage is not itself the later reward: the optional encounter must still be completed to earn its reward. The wiki and the encounter guide describe the route and distinction.
Complete the puzzle before restoring the Dark Sanctuary if you want to take this route. After restoration, the piano is replaced by a Wicabel encounter and is no longer available. The progression guide notes this change.
