Spoilers: This guide reveals Ayumi’s locker code and the key it contains. In Ebisugaoka Middle School, find Asakura Ayumi’s Textbook in the Old Annex classroom, then enter the code matching your puzzle difficulty: 534 on Story, 865 on Hard, or 399 on Lost in the Fog. Ayumi’s locker gives you the Key Cabinet Key, which opens the teacher’s office cabinet containing the Key to the Back Mountains.

These are the codes for Asakura Ayumi’s locker; use the one corresponding to the puzzle difficulty selected in your game. Silent Hill Memories’ puzzle solutions and PC Gamer’s school puzzle guide both give the difficulty-specific answers.
Where to find the textbook and locker
- Reach the second floor of Ebisugaoka Middle School and proceed to the Old Annex.
- In the Old Annex classroom, pick up the Locker Room Key and Asakura’s Textbook from a desk. The textbook contains Ayumi’s clue.
- Return to the first floor and use the Locker Room Key to enter the girls’ locker room.
- Enter the code for your difficulty on Ayumi’s locker and take the Key Cabinet Key.
- Go to the teacher’s office, open the key cabinet with the key you found, and collect the Key to the Back Mountains.

How the girl-code clue works
The school notes explain a letter-to-number substitution called the “girl code.” The listed mappings begin I=1, E=2, A=3, S=4, U=5, B=6, G=7, and O=8; the guide’s key also includes 9 and 0. Apply the substitutions to the letter clue in Asakura’s Textbook. For example, S-E-A becomes 5-3-4, or 534. The clue letters differ by difficulty, so the numeric answer changes as well.

Optional locker codes and rewards
Ayumi’s is the only locker needed to obtain the key for the teacher’s office cabinet. These other lockers are optional:
