At the Reliquary of Resilience in the Tokachi Range, turn all four fox statues inward to face the central stone pillar. From the untouched arrangement, turn the front-left statue once, the back-left twice, the front-left once more, the front-right twice, then the back-right twice.
Where to find the Reliquary of Resilience
The reliquary is in the Tokachi Range. It lies along the elevated route reached by a short climb; a golden bird may guide you toward it. Guides differ on the nearest landmark, so use the region and climbing route to orient yourself rather than relying on a single landmark description.

What the clue means
The inscription reads: “Within the caverns of Mount Yotei, a lost boy surrendered to a tired sleep. The wolves stood guard. Looking toward the mountain.”
Here, “the mountain” means the central reliquary pillar, not distant Mount Yōtei. PowerPyx, Shacknews, and GameSpot identify the pillar as the target, while a Push Square guide gives a conflicting interpretation and points toward the distant mountain. The better-corroborated solution is to make every fox face inward toward the pillar.

Statue order for the untouched puzzle
Stand facing the central pillar and use this sequence. “Front” means the side nearest you; “back” means the side farthest from you.
- Turn the front-left statue once.
- Turn the back-left statue twice.
- Turn the front-left statue once more.
- Turn the front-right statue twice.
- Turn the back-right statue twice.
The order matters because interacting with one statue affects another. This sequence assumes you have not already moved any statues. If you have, reset the arrangement if the game allows it; otherwise, use the goal of facing all four foxes inward as your reference.

What reward does the puzzle give?
Walkthroughs disagree about the reward, so a single item cannot be stated confidently for every player. Shacknews names Yōtei’s Shelter Hat; Push Square and GameSpot name the Yōtei’s Charge Weapon Kit. GameFAQs reports the Charm of Mount Yōtei, or an upgrade if that charm has already been earned. Your reward may depend on progress or game version; check the item awarded in your own game rather than treating one guide’s report as definitive.
