Tap the screen during the egg-hatching animation to speed it up. Niantic’s current help instructions do not describe a setting that turns the animation off entirely. A community-reported two-finger gesture may skip it, but it is not an officially confirmed control.
How to speed up an egg hatch

When an egg is ready, open the hatch screen and let the animation begin.

Can you skip the animation completely?
Niantic’s help article documents tapping to speed up the animation, not an in-game setting to disable it. Pokémon GO Hub reports an unofficial tip: try tapping the “Oh?” screen with two fingers. Niantic does not confirm that gesture, so it may not work and could vary with the game version. Treat it as a community workaround, not a guaranteed control. What happens when several eggs hatch?
Hatching multiple eggs at once does not eliminate the individual animations: after the multiple-hatch screen, the game still plays repeated hatch animations. Tap during each one to speed it up.
Does Adventure Sync skip the animation?
No. Adventure Sync records walking distance while Pokémon GO is closed, and Niantic says you can optionally receive a notification when an egg is about to hatch. Those features affect distance tracking and alerts, not the hatch animation. Details are in Niantic’s Adventure Sync help article.

Why might a hatch appear delayed?
Niantic notes that a slight delay can occur while the game is loading or when Remote Raid invitations are active. That delay is separate from the animation controls: once the hatch animation appears, tap the screen to speed it up.
What about Niantic’s earlier skip test?
Niantic announced regional testing of an option to skip egg-hatch animations in 2021. That announcement documents a test, not a general current rollout, so it is not evidence that every player can now turn the animation off. The announcement was surfaced on TheSilphRoad subreddit.
