Finish Act 3 and reach the credits, then load your completed run with Continue. At the Expedition Flag (also called a Rest Point in one guide), select New Game+ and confirm the prompts.
Start New Game+ after the credits
- Finish Act 3 and watch at least one ending through the credits.
- Return to the main menu and select Continue. This loads the final area of your completed run.
- Interact with an Expedition Flag—called a Rest Point in a June 2025 guide.
- Select New Game+ and confirm the prompts. An August 2026 guide reports that the game asks for confirmation twice.
This route is described in guides from Push Square and Playnews. If you do not see the option, make sure you have completed the ending and returned to the final area through Continue.

Back up your save before starting
Playnews warned in its August 6, 2026 guide that starting New Game+ overwrites the existing save rather than creating a separate slot. That is a guide-reported warning, not a rule confirmed by the official sources cited here. If you may want to return to your completed run, check what backup options your platform offers before confirming; the available method depends on your platform and setup.
What carries over—and what resets
Guides report that character and equipment progression carries over, while quest and relationship progress resets. The August 2026 guide gives a more detailed list than the June 2025 Push Square guide; the official patch notes do not provide a complete New Game+ rules list.

These specific details are reported by Playnews. The June 2025 Push Square guide describes carryover more broadly as character progression, levels, attribute points and inventory items, and says optional quest progress, related quest items and relationship levels reset. Treat the detailed list as guide-reported rather than as an official, exhaustive specification.
Because optional objectives and collectibles are among the things reported to reset, finish any you care about before starting a new run.

What the official update notes establish
Sandfall Interactive’s July 30, 2025 patch 1.4.0 notes mention a fix involving gameplay modifiers affecting a New Game save, but do not explain how to start New Game+ or confirm its carryover rules. The official site’s news listing says the free “Thank You” update rolled out across platforms and regions in December 2025; it does not say that the update changed the New Game+ start procedure.
