There is no universal way to tame a drake in MythicMobs. MythicMobs lets server administrators configure custom mobs, so the drake’s behavior—and whether it can be tamed at all—depends on that server’s configuration. Check the server’s drake guide or ask its staff what interaction or item it requires.
Why there is no standard drake-taming recipe
“Drake” does not identify a standard MythicMobs creature with a documented, universal taming procedure. Server administrators can define custom mob attributes and skills, so two servers may use the same name for drakes with different behavior. The MythicMobs project overview describes this administrator-controlled custom-mob system.
The MythicMobs options reference describes Tameable as an option for wolves, cats, and horses, and says it defaults to false. That description does not establish a drake-specific food, item, or taming method. See the MythicMobs options reference.
What to do as a player
- Look for the server’s guide or entry for that specific drake. Follow its stated requirements rather than trying a guessed food or item.
- If the guide does not say how to tame it, ask a server administrator or moderator whether that drake is tamable and what interaction it requires.
- Ask separately whether the drake can be ridden or assigned to you. Taming, riding, and ownership are distinct behaviors; the general MythicMobs documentation does not establish which ones a particular drake supports.
How an authorized server operator can investigate
MythicMobs provides commands to inspect loaded mobs. The official MythicCraft command reference lists:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

These commands can help identify the loaded mob, but they do not reveal an undocumented taming sequence by themselves. An operator should inspect the drake’s definition and skills in the server’s MythicMobs files, along with any relevant addon configuration. Check documentation that matches the versions and addons actually installed; MythicMobs features can depend on those details. The MythicMobs overview describes its custom skills, attributes, equipment, and spawning capabilities.
