There is no separate Halloween event-start button in GTA Online. To begin, join GTA Online and complete the current Weekly Challenge: from October 1–7, 2026, secure two Bail Office Bounties to earn the Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000. The Halloween activities and challenge objectives change by date, so check the schedule below before choosing what to do.
How to start the GTA Online Halloween event
Enter GTA Online and take part in the activity you want; Rockstar’s October 1, 2026 announcement describes a month of activities and Weekly Challenges, not a separate event-start button or a platform-specific menu route. The first Weekly Challenge runs October 1–7: secure two Bail Office Bounties. Completing it earns the Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000.
Use the current date to identify the active challenge. The weekly windows below are Rockstar’s published schedule for 2026; do not assume an objective from a previous year still applies. Rockstar’s 2026 event announcement has the event terms.
2026 Weekly Challenges and individual rewards
| Date | Weekly Challenge | Reward for that challenge |

| October 1–7 | Secure two Bail Office Bounties | Green Vintage Skull Mask and GTA$100,000 |

| October 29–November 4 | Complete 10 waves in a Survival without dying | Slasher Clown Outfit and GTA$250,000 |
These are the listed rewards for each respective Weekly Challenge. Rockstar’s 2026 announcement does not specify a delivery time for each weekly item or payout.

Complete the relevant objective during its listed challenge period.
