It is a Normal-difficulty raid, not a Raid Finder queue; Blizzard’s event announcement says eligible characters are level 35 or higher and groups can have 1–30 players.
How to start or join the raid
- Check that Cataclysm Timewalking is active. Firelands is available during that event. Confirm the live schedule in the in-game calendar or Adventure Guide, since Blizzard’s announcement does not establish whether the event is active on a particular date.
- Open Group Finder. Press I, then select Premade Groups. Create a Firelands raid group or look for one that is already forming.
- Assemble an eligible group. Blizzard’s October 18, 2022 announcement specifies level 35 and above and a group size of 1–30 players. The raid is Normal difficulty, so look for a premade group rather than a Raid Finder queue.
Blizzard’s Cataclysm Timewalking announcement says the Firelands raid is available throughout the event and directs players to use Premade Groups to assemble a raid.
What to expect inside Firelands Timewalking
The retail Timewalking version uses Normal difficulty and is not available through Raid Finder. Blizzard lists seven bosses: Beth’tilac, Lord Rhyolith, Alysrazor, Shannox, Baleroc the Gatekeeper, Majordomo Staghelm, and Ragnaros. Its announcement describes the raid as a 1–30-player group activity for characters level 35 and above.
Firelands became a Timewalking raid in retail with the 2019 update; Blizzard noted that gear and character power are scaled to the challenge in its 8.2.5 content update notes.

Retail Timewalking is not Cataclysm Classic
The Firelands name also refers to a separate raid in Cataclysm Classic. Do not apply the retail Timewalking group rules to that version.
