To cancel a current pregnancy in The Sims 4, open the cheat console, enter testingcheats true, then enter sims.remove_all_buffs pregnancy_in labor. EA lists the command with a space between “in” and “labor”; keep that syntax as displayed in its pregnancy guide.
Cancel a current pregnancy with the cheat console
- Open the cheat console by pressing Control + Shift + C.
- Enter
testingcheats trueand submit the command. - Enter
sims.remove_all_buffs pregnancy_in laborand submit it to cancel the pregnancy.
EA documents this method but does not specify which platforms or game builds support it. The guide’s command includes a space before “labor”; do not replace it with an underscore based on assumptions about the syntax.
Stop a Sim becoming pregnant again
To change pregnancy eligibility rather than end a pregnancy already underway, edit the Sim in Create a Sim. EA says eligible young adult and adult Sims can be set to “Become Pregnant,” “Get Others Pregnant,” or “Neither.” Choose “Neither” if you want that Sim not to become pregnant or get others pregnant. This setting controls eligibility; EA does not describe it as a way to cancel an existing pregnancy. See EA’s pregnancy guide and gender and attraction guide.
If the pregnancy command does not work
EA’s documentation does not promise that the command works in every platform or build. An EA forum troubleshooting post reports that pregnancy cheats have been disabled in some circumstances and suggests using a mod that enables cheats. Treat that as a community-reported, potentially version-dependent workaround—not a guaranteed fix or an official EA solution.
