If XSplit Broadcaster keeps replaying one video instead of moving through your YouTube playlist, check the loop behavior for that video in the XSplit Video Playlist source—not YouTube’s viewer-side Repeat control. XSplit has documented loop options for individual playlist items, but its current public setup guide does not verify the option’s present label or default, so check the controls in your installed version.
First, identify which playlist is repeating
XSplit’s Video Playlist source and YouTube’s player are separate playback layers. XSplit’s source determines what video appears in the live scene. YouTube’s Loop or Repeat control changes playback in a viewer’s player; it does not change the sequence XSplit sends to the broadcast.

Check the XSplit Video Playlist source
Add or verify the playlist items
- In the scene being broadcast, open Add source > Scene Widgets > Video Playlist. XSplit describes Video Playlist as a scene source for multiple videos with continuous playback and other playback options. See XSplit’s Sources Menu overview.
- Open the Video Playlist source properties. Use Add to choose the intended video files, then save with OK. This is the setup path documented in XSplit’s Video Playlist setup article, updated 2022-11-08. Menu wording can vary by installed release, so compare it with your version.
- Review the playlist order and confirm that the file you expect to advance from is actually followed by another item. A playlist with only one item will necessarily show that item repeatedly if playback continues.
Inspect the item’s loop behavior
If a multi-item sequence still replays the same file, open the source or that item’s playback properties and look for its loop option. XSplit’s official update archive records: “Added loop options for each video source and Video Playlist item (Hot request).” That establishes that per-item loop options were introduced; it does not confirm the exact current label, location, or default. Avoid assuming a particular checkbox name if it is not visible in your release. See XSplit’s update history.
Verify before leaving a broadcast unattended
Preview the scene and watch it advance through the sequence. If you need to confirm what viewers receive, use a short private or unlisted test broadcast, then check the live playback. This lets you distinguish a source setting problem from a viewer’s player control before relying on a long stream.

If only YouTube’s playlist repeats
When XSplit advances correctly but a viewer’s playlist begins again at the end, the repeat is in YouTube’s player. On a computer, YouTube Help says to expand the playlist box and click Loop. On TV or console, the control is called Repeat; YouTube distinguishes repeating the current video from repeating the playlist. These controls affect that viewer’s playback, not the content sequence configured in XSplit. See YouTube Help: Repeat videos or playlists on YouTube.
Confirm the broadcast output is the one you expect
The Video Playlist is scene content; YouTube Live is the destination configured in XSplit’s broadcast workflow. If the scene preview advances but the YouTube broadcast does not show the same result, verify the selected scene and output in the broadcast setup rather than changing YouTube’s viewer-side repeat setting. Troubleshooting
- One file repeats while the rest never play: Reopen the Video Playlist source, confirm the other files are listed, and inspect the repeating item’s loop behavior.
- The playlist ends, then starts over: Determine whether this is the intended sequence behavior or a viewer-side YouTube playlist repeat. XSplit’s public setup article does not establish the current setting name or default for controlling item loops.
- Preview looks right, but the broadcast does not: Check that the broadcast uses the scene containing the Video Playlist and the intended streaming output.
- You cannot find a control matching an online description: XSplit’s documented setup path may differ from your installed release. Use the source’s current properties and XSplit’s official update history as context rather than relying on an unverified label.
