Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo stream a prepared Malayalam nature video as a 4K 60fps loop on YouTube Live, send it through an encoder at 3840×2160 and 60 fps, set a constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval, then preview and test the feed in YouTube Live Control Room before going public. For 4K60 live ingest, YouTube recommends 50 Mbps video bitrate for H.264 or 35 Mbps for H.265/HEVC or AV1; the connection must sustain that output with additional upload headroom.
Choose the 4K60 streaming settings
The figures below are YouTube’s live-ingest recommendations for 2160p at 60 fps, not guarantees that your encoder or internet connection can sustain the stream. Choose a codec your encoder supports and your hardware can encode reliably.
| Codec | YouTube minimum video bitrate | YouTube recommended video bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| H.264 | 14 Mbps | 50 Mbps |
| H.265/HEVC | 10 Mbps | 35 Mbps |
| AV1 | 10 Mbps | 35 Mbps |
These are video bitrates for live ingestion. Do not substitute YouTube’s separate VOD upload figures. A lower recommended bitrate for H.265 or AV1 is useful only if your encoder supports that codec and can encode it consistently.
- Video: 3840×2160, 60 fps, progressive scan, square pixels, Rec. 709, 8-bit for the straightforward SDR setup.
- Rate control: CBR.
- Keyframes: every two seconds; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds.
- Protocol: RTMPS is YouTube’s recommended encrypted version of RTMP.
- Stereo audio: AAC or MP3, 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps.
This guide uses an SDR Rec. 709 source. HDR needs compatible footage, encoder settings, and an end-to-end HDR configuration; YouTube’s general guidance recommends H.265 for HDR and does not support AV1 for HDR.

Prepare the video and confirm you can use it
Check that the source file is genuinely 3840×2160 at 60 fps. If it is lower resolution or frame rate, selecting 4K60 output will require scaling or frame-rate conversion; it will not create missing detail or motion. Match the encoder output to the source where practical, and test any conversion for judder, softness, or repeated frames.

Before broadcasting, make sure you have the rights needed to use both the footage and its audio on YouTube. A nature recording may still contain copyrighted music, ambient recordings, or other protected material. A video that you are allowed to watch or download is not automatically cleared for a live rebroadcast.
For a Malayalam channel, check any title, description, or on-screen text for correct Malayalam spelling and make sure the loop’s audio is intentional. YouTube’s stream setup guidance does not establish rights to any particular footage or soundtrack.

Set up YouTube Live and protect the stream key
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube’s current getting-started guidance says the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and meet the minimum age of 16. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- Open YouTube Studio and create an encoder stream. In Live Control Room, arrange the stream in advance and select the encoder workflow for sending a prepared feed. YouTube lists OBS as open-source streaming software and Gyre as a cloud-based option for continuous prerecorded streams; those listings are options to investigate, not guarantees of current service performance.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the key as a password: YouTube uses it to identify and accept the encoder feed. Do not put it in screenshots, descriptions, or public messages. YouTube’s stream settings guidance covers stream keys and controls such as latency, DVR, auto-start, and auto-stop.
- Configure the encoder. Set 3840×2160 at 60 fps, select a supported codec and its recommended bitrate from the table, then apply CBR and a two-second keyframe interval. Choose RTMPS if it is available in the encoder.
- Add the loop source. Use the encoder’s media-source or playlist feature to repeat the prepared clip. Exact controls depend on the software and version; verify that looping is enabled, that the transition between the end and start is acceptable, and that audio does not cut off unexpectedly.
Test the loop and start the broadcast
- Begin setup early. YouTube advises arranging an encoder stream ahead of time, starting setup at least two hours before the event, and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before a scheduled broadcast.
- Start the encoder and check Live Control Room preview. Confirm that YouTube receives the feed at the expected resolution and frame rate, and check both picture and audio.
- Run an unlisted or otherwise suitable test. Watch the stream on the device your audience is likely to use if practical. Check the loop boundary, audio level, image quality, and stream health before making the broadcast public.
- Launch and monitor. Keep an eye on YouTube stream-health messages, dropped frames, encoder overload, upload instability, and audio issues. YouTube recommends continuously monitoring audio and video quality.
Use YouTube’s encoder setup guidance and live-streaming tips alongside the controls shown in your current Live Control Room.
Plan upload capacity for a stable 4K60 feed
YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload bandwidth headroom and says the stream bitrate cannot exceed available upload bandwidth. Check sustained upload capacity, not download speed alone, and account for other devices and people using the same connection.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
At the H.264 recommendation of 50 Mbps video, the upload path needs to sustain more than 50 Mbps once audio, protocol overhead, other household or office use, and headroom are considered. A speed-test result is a snapshot, not proof that the connection will hold that rate continuously. A wired Ethernet connection can reduce dependence on Wi-Fi, but it cannot increase the upstream capacity provided by the ISP.

| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive the stream | Incorrect stream URL or key, encoder not started, or the wrong stream selected | Confirm the encoder’s destination and key against the stream in Live Control Room. Keep the key private. |
| Dropped frames or unstable stream health | Insufficient or fluctuating upload capacity, competing network use, or encoder overload | Check upload performance and encoder load. Reduce competing traffic; if necessary, choose settings your connection and hardware can sustain. |
| Output looks soft or motion looks uneven | Source is below 3840×2160 or 60 fps, or scaling/frame conversion is occurring | Inspect the source’s actual properties and make any conversion deliberate. An output setting cannot add source detail. |
| The loop does not repeat or has an abrupt join | Looping is disabled, playlist behavior differs from expectation, or the clip ends with a visible or audible discontinuity | Check the media-source or playlist loop setting and test the end-to-start transition before going live. |
| Picture works but audio is missing or wrong | Audio track, codec, sample rate, bitrate, or source routing is misconfigured | Check the selected source audio and encoder settings; YouTube’s stereo guidance lists AAC or MP3 at 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. |
| Stream is blocked, claimed, or interrupted over content rights | Footage or soundtrack may not be cleared for the broadcast | Use material you have permission to stream and review YouTube’s copyright and live-stream rules before retrying. |
Or let it run in the cloud
If the aim is a continuous prerecorded YouTube loop, StreamNeo can run the uploaded video from the cloud rather than relying on a computer and home connection to stay on. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams of uploaded video; it is not a camera-live service.
