To stream Malayalam relaxation music overnight, create or schedule a YouTube Live event, send a playlist and an authorized visual through an encoder, and verify the preview before going live. First make sure every track is cleared for YouTube live transmission and any archived replay: a license alone may not stop an automated interruption. If you need YouTube’s automatic archive, end the stream before it reaches 12 hours and keep a local recording as backup.
1. Confirm your channel can go live
Check channel eligibility before preparing the playlist. YouTube’s current help guidance says the channel must be verified, have livestreaming enabled, and have no livestream restrictions in the past 90 days. YouTube also sets a minimum age of 16 for live streaming. Check YouTube Studio for your channel’s status and allow time to resolve any restriction before scheduling the overnight event. YouTube’s live streaming setup guidance describes the requirements.
2. Clear every track for live use and replay
Do not assume a track is safe because it is labeled “relaxation,” “royalty-free,” or available in a music library. YouTube’s livestream terms say creators represent that they have all necessary rights for live content across Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Confirm permission for both the musical composition and the particular recording, the territories where your stream will be available, live transmission, and any replay or archive you intend to keep. Keep copies of licenses and written permissions.
Choose a music source
| Route | What to verify | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Music created and controlled by your channel | You control the rights to both the composition and recording, including collaborators’ contributions and any performance or other rights involved. | Rights may be simpler to document, but you need original music you are entitled to use. |
| Third-party licensed music | Permission explicitly covers YouTube live use, replay/archive, territories, composition and recording. Ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist where applicable. | There may be more catalogue choice, but permission alone may not prevent an automated interruption. |
YouTube says live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. If you have permission to use a track, ask its rights holder to allowlist your channel in Content ID; without that step, the stream may still be interrupted. Save the response and any license documents so you can address a claim or interruption. YouTube’s live copyright guidance explains the scanning and allowlisting issue.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Do not treat YouTube Creator Music as blanket clearance for this use: YouTube says tracks covered by that program can be used in long-form videos, not live streams or Shorts. Obtain separate live-use permission where necessary. YouTube’s Creator Music guidance describes the program’s scope.
3. Build the playlist and choose a visual
Arrange the cleared tracks in the order you want them to play. Check that the transitions, track levels, and total playlist length suit the planned broadcast; listen through the complete sequence before the overnight session. For a visual, use a still image, animation, or other material you own or are authorized to broadcast. A simple visual is sufficient, but it must be part of the same rights check as the music.

4. Create the YouTube Live event and configure an encoder
- Open YouTube Studio: go to Create > Go live and use the Live Control Room to create or schedule the event. Set its title, visibility, and start time, then save it.
- Get the connection details: in the event’s stream settings, copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key into your encoder. Keep the key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your event.
- Set up the encoder: choose the playlist and visual as its inputs, and use the audio/video settings appropriate to your source and connection. Confirm the encoder is sending to the copied YouTube URL and key. YouTube’s encoder workflow is described in its live encoder setup guidance.
- Test before the event: play representative sections of the playlist, inspect the visual and audio in the encoder, start a private or unlisted test event if available, and check YouTube’s preview. Confirm that the event appears as intended on its watch page.
5. Check upload capacity and overnight reliability
Use a stable connection and test the actual upload speed available to the computer running the encoder. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom, so the stream’s upload demand should not consume all of the tested capacity. Other household uploads and network fluctuations can still affect the broadcast; avoid competing large transfers during the session. YouTube’s streaming tips cover bandwidth headroom and reliable streaming.
For an overnight broadcast, make sure the computer will not sleep, the encoder will not stop when unattended, and power and network connections are secure. Keep the encoder’s local recording option enabled if available, or use another local recording method, and check that the recording file is growing before leaving the stream unattended.

6. Start, monitor, and end the broadcast
- Start the encoder and wait for YouTube’s Live Control Room to show an incoming signal.
- Review the preview for the expected visual and audio, then select Go live in the Live Control Room when ready.
- Open the public watch page from a separate device or browser to verify that viewers can access the event and hear the playlist.
- Check the stream and local recording periodically if possible. If YouTube reports a third-party-content interruption, stop and resolve the rights issue rather than repeatedly restarting the same uncleared material.
- If you depend on YouTube’s automatic archive, end the stream before it reaches 12 hours. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived; this is not a guarantee that every shorter stream will be retained, and streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured. Preserve your local recording if the full session matters. YouTube’s archive guidance explains this limit.
Troubleshooting an overnight playlist stream
YouTube does not receive the encoder signal
- Check that the event is the one currently open in Live Control Room and that its stream URL and key were copied correctly.
- Confirm the encoder is online and sending the intended audio/video inputs. If needed, copy the current key again from the event settings and update the encoder.
The stream is interrupted or receives a copyright warning
- Stop the broadcast if the flagged music is not clearly authorized for live use. Review the claim and your documentation with the rights holder.
- For licensed tracks, confirm the license covers the recording and composition, live use, territory, and replay as applicable; ask the rights holder to allowlist your channel in Content ID.
- Replace disputed tracks only with material you can document as cleared. A Creator Music license for long-form video does not by itself authorize a live stream.
The stream buffers or drops frames
- Check whether other devices or applications are using upload bandwidth; test the connection again and restore YouTube’s recommended 20% upload headroom.
- Check the encoder’s connection and event status before restarting. Avoid assuming the stream has ended simply because playback paused for a viewer; verify the Live Control Room signal.
The replay is missing or incomplete
- Check whether the stream exceeded 12 hours; YouTube says longer streams may not be captured automatically.
- Look for the local recording file. A local copy is the practical backup when preserving the entire overnight session matters.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your plan is to keep a pre-recorded Malayalam playlist playing on YouTube without leaving an encoder computer running at home, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams what you upload at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting from a camera, and music rights still need to be cleared for YouTube Live. Start the free day on StreamNeo.
