First, confirm what NIOS offers—and what it does not establish
NIOS student material says video programmes are available on YouTube. Check the current NIOS site or student portal for the particular course, subject, playlist, and lesson you need; the published material does not establish permission for a third party to rebroadcast those videos continuously. NIOS also describes Mukta Vidya Vani as a 24/7 web-based audio service. That is an audio offering, not evidence that NIOS operates an official 24/7 YouTube video stream. Its Virtual Open School is a separate official learner platform, where NIOS says learners can attend live interactive classes and watch recorded sessions and videos. Get permission before rebroadcasting lessons
Availability on YouTube is not a rebroadcast licence. Before building a continuous stream, identify the exact files and obtain written permission from the relevant rights holder for continuous rebroadcast on your channel. Ask about the intended platform, duration, territory, monetization, and whether edits or looping are allowed. Confirm that permission also covers any music, images, or third-party segments embedded in a lesson.

Keep a copy of the permission and a record of which files it covers. If you cannot establish rights for a file, do not include it in the stream. Check channel eligibility and plan ahead
- YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its live-start guidance states that the streamer must be at least 16 years old. YouTube live eligibility
- Enable live streaming before your planned start. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. YouTube encoder setup
- Choose a suitable encoder: software running on a computer, standalone hardware, or a cloud tool. YouTube describes these approaches and lists verified encoder products, noting those products are not made by YouTube. Availability, terms, and capabilities vary by provider.
- Decide whether you need a full replay archive. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A single uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast exceeds that stated window, so do not rely on it to produce a complete replay. Keep source files and consider planned shorter sessions if archives are important.
Choose how to keep the stream running
For a 24/7 broadcast, the main difference is what must stay powered and connected, and who is responsible for recovery. No particular device or encoder has been tested here, and the available evidence does not establish current third-party product prices.

A mini PC is one possible local computer, not a requirement. Check its specifications, cooling, power, network connection, and restart behavior for sustained operation. Compare the cost of equipment and any recurring hosting or service charges against your own power and connectivity needs; no current equipment prices are established here.
Set up the YouTube encoder stream
- Clear the recordings for use. List the exact lesson files and obtain the permissions described above before uploading or scheduling the broadcast.
- Enable live streaming. In YouTube Studio, follow the live-stream setup flow and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement. Confirm that the channel meets YouTube’s eligibility requirements before the planned start. Eligibility requirements
- Create or schedule a stream. Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and create or schedule the broadcast. Use the current YouTube interface to select the stream configuration supported by your encoder.
- Copy the stream URL and key into the encoder. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses both. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen, publish it, or share it with people who do not operate the stream. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder. Encoder setup
- Configure the lesson playlist. Set the authorized files in the intended order and enable looping if your encoder supports it. Verify the end-to-start transition, audio/video synchronization, and that the playlist does not include an unapproved item.
- Start output and inspect the preview. Start the encoder, check YouTube’s live preview and stream health, and confirm that the intended lesson and sound are actually reaching the watch page before sharing it.
- Test continuity before launch. Using material you own or are licensed to use, test a brief network interruption and confirm the setup returns to the intended playlist. For local encoding, check that power, cooling, network stability, and restart behavior suit continuous use.
- Plan replay separately. Preserve the original lesson files. If you need YouTube replays, schedule shorter streams and verify current YouTube guidance rather than assuming a single 24/7 broadcast will archive in full. YouTube archive guidance
YouTube’s encoder help page explains encoder connection, but the available information here does not establish a universal bitrate, resolution, or keyframe interval for every file and encoder. Use the current YouTube guidance and your encoder’s supported settings; check the preview and stream health with the actual lesson files before a public launch.

Copyright and monetization are separate checks
A rights holder’s permission to rebroadcast does not guarantee monetization approval. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says minimally changed material from other sources may be ineligible as reused content, even where the creator has permission. Do not promise viewers or contributors that a continuous stream will be monetized. YouTube may also terminate live streams for copyright or Community Guidelines strikes. Troubleshoot common failures
- Live streaming is not available yet: check channel verification and restrictions, then allow up to 24 hours after first-time activation.
- YouTube receives no signal: confirm the encoder is running and that the stream URL and key match the current stream in Live Control Room. If the key was exposed, replace it and update the encoder.
- The stream stops when nobody is at the computer: with local software encoding, verify the computer remains powered, connected, and awake. Check restart and recovery behavior; a cloud encoder is another approach if you do not want the home computer to stay on.
- The lesson playlist does not repeat correctly: inspect playlist order and loop settings, then test the end-to-start transition and audio/video sync before relaunching.
- A live stream is interrupted for copyright: stop using the disputed material, review YouTube’s notice, and confirm permission covers every component of the recording before attempting another broadcast.
- A full-day replay is missing or incomplete: do not depend on a single stream longer than YouTube’s stated under-12-hour archive window; preserve files and schedule shorter sessions if replays matter.
