Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →To stream to multiple platforms at once with XSplit Broadcaster, set up a separate broadcast output for each destination, then start the outputs from the Broadcast menu. XSplit’s dedicated instructions say direct multistreaming requires a Broadcaster Premium or Premium Bundle license; check XSplit’s current licensing and interface because they can change.
Choose the workflow that matches your goal
“Multiple platforms” can mean separate destinations, different video layouts, or a relay service. These are distinct XSplit workflows:
- Separate destinations: create an output for each platform and start each one. This is the direct multistream method.
- Different formats: use Multi Output Mode when you need separate canvases, such as landscape and portrait. XSplit’s support guide describes this feature as beta.
- One output distributed through a relay: XSplit documents a Restream output integration. Check Restream’s current channel limits, plans, and terms before relying on them.
XSplit’s November 14, 2025 product description says Multi Output Mode can broadcast multiple streams from one source, each with its own resolution, aspect ratio, and platform destination. That is about preparing distinct formats; it is not the same setup as simply adding several destination outputs.
Set up direct outputs for each platform
- Confirm your license. XSplit Support’s multistream guide, updated October 11, 2025, says the feature is available with a Broadcaster Premium or Premium Bundle license. Verify that your current license includes it; no price is stated here.
- Add the first destination. In XSplit Broadcaster, open Broadcast > Set up a new output and choose the platform output. Follow the output’s setup flow to authenticate or configure it.
- Add each additional destination. Repeat Broadcast > Set up a new output for every platform you want to stream to. Each destination needs its own configured output; do not assume that enabling one output automatically enables all the others.
- Start the outputs. Open the Broadcast menu and start the outputs you want active. XSplit says active outputs appear as live in that menu.
- Check each destination. Confirm that each platform shows the stream as live and that the correct scene, audio, and account are being sent.
For example, to stream to Twitch and YouTube at the same time, configure a Twitch output and a YouTube Live output, then start both from the Broadcast menu. The exact wizard and controls may differ by output plugin and Broadcaster version.

If the platform is not in XSplit’s output list
First look for it under Find more outputs. If it is still unavailable, XSplit’s guidance is to use Custom RTMP when the destination accepts RTMP ingest.
- On the destination platform, locate its live-stream setup and copy the RTMP server URL and stream key.
- In XSplit, create or configure a Custom RTMP output and enter the server URL and key in the corresponding fields.
- Save the output and start it from the Broadcast menu.
- Check the destination’s live dashboard for an incoming signal and confirm the stream is actually public or otherwise available as intended.
RTMP availability and credential steps vary by platform; consult that platform’s current live-stream instructions. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish it or include it in a screenshot.

XSplit’s supported-sites page names outputs including Twitch, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Dailymotion, Vimeo Livestream, and Restream.io, and notes that other RTMP-compatible services can use Custom RTMP. That list can change, so check the current output/plugin list for a destination not named here.
When to use Multi Output Mode instead
Use Multi Output Mode if you need to produce distinct canvas formats—for example, a horizontal gameplay stream and a portrait layout—rather than merely sending the same configured output to several destinations. XSplit’s guide describes separate canvases with their own controls and resolutions linked to the same scene, and labels the feature beta.

Eligibility can also depend on the platform. XSplit’s March 2026 release notes said eligible users could use Multi Output for YouTube Dual Stream, but encoder access was limited to selected users at that time. The notes also said YouTube Live Studio stream-key credentials had to be copied manually. Those release-note conditions are dated, not a guarantee of current access; check XSplit and YouTube’s current requirements.
When a Restream output may fit
XSplit documents a Restream output plugin workflow: install the output, authorize a Restream account, configure encoding options, and start that output. This may suit a setup where you prefer to configure destination channels through a relay rather than manage a separate XSplit output for every destination. Confirm Restream’s current channel limits, plan terms, and supported destinations before choosing it; older descriptions of its limits or free offering should not be treated as current.

Requirements and practical checks
- XSplit license: direct multiple outputs require the Premium or Premium Bundle tier according to XSplit’s multistream support guide. Verify current entitlements.
- Platform access: make sure each platform account is allowed to go live and that you can access its authentication or RTMP credentials.
- Output destination: use a native output when available; otherwise Custom RTMP requires the destination to support RTMP ingest.
- Capture hardware: a capture card is only relevant if your production needs to bring in an external console or camera source. It is not a general requirement for multistreaming software output; XSplit lists Elgato among compatible capture-card hardware.
- Platform rules: confirm each service’s current content, copyright, and live-stream policies. Sending a signal successfully does not establish that the content is permitted or that the platform will keep it available.
Troubleshooting common problems
The option to add or start multiple outputs is missing
Check whether your Broadcaster license is Premium or Premium Bundle, as specified by XSplit’s multistream guide. Also check the current Broadcaster version and output/plugin list; labels and availability may change.
One destination is live but another is not
Each destination is a separate output. Confirm that the missing output was configured, authenticated with the intended account, and separately started from the Broadcast menu. Then check that platform’s live dashboard for an incoming signal or credential error.

The platform is not available as a native output
Look under Find more outputs. If no output is available, use Custom RTMP only if the platform supports RTMP ingest, and verify the server URL and stream key against the platform’s own setup page.
The stream reaches a platform but is blocked or unavailable
Review that platform’s live-stream eligibility and content rules, and inspect its dashboard for the specific restriction or warning. XSplit’s output setup cannot override a platform-side policy or account limitation.
The video layout is wrong for a destination
If the issue is orientation, aspect ratio, or a destination-specific layout rather than the destination connection, consider Multi Output Mode. Its beta status and your eligibility may affect availability.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep a prerecorded YouTube channel live around the clock, that is a different use case from XSplit’s desktop multistream setup. StreamNeo uploads and loops prerecorded videos to YouTube only; it does not go live from a camera or distribute to multiple platforms. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The stream runs in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it includes automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Visit StreamNeo or start the free first day.
