- the amount required for one pull or a group of pulls;
- featured units and any visible role or description;

Use summoned units in battles
Deploy for the wave in front of you
The official description says units fend off waves. That means a summon has practical value only after you can deploy it in a battle and understand the attack it provides. Before replacing a functioning unit, compare the new unit’s displayed range, attack behavior, targeting or support description, and upgrade choices with the role you are trying to improve. If the game does not show one of those details until deployment, test it in a low-risk battle rather than committing scarce materials immediately.
Upgrade during the battle
Upgrades are an in-battle action and, according to the official listing, unlock new attacks. Watch the unit’s upgrade panel as the wave progresses. An upgrade that adds an attack or changes targeting can matter more than a small numerical increase when an enemy wave is about to pass. Spend the battle resource shown by the client only after checking the next upgrade’s effect and cost; the listing does not publish a universal upgrade order or a fixed price table.
Separate battle upgrades from roster progression

Build a role-based shortlist
Keep a short list of units you can deploy for the roles your stages demand. A practical record can include the unit name, current level, star display, role shown in-game, whether it is deployed in a saved lineup, and whether you are holding it for evolution. This is safer than deciding from rarity alone, especially when the official game page does not publish a current roster or optimal team.
Equip only after checking the current loadout screen
The available sources do not verify a menu-by-menu equip path, slot limit, or account unlock condition. To equip a unit, open the live roster or loadout screen, select the unit, and follow the control the client provides for adding it to a battle lineup. Do not treat the terms as interchangeable
Community explanations distinguish star upgrades from evolution, while a nonofficial Units guide describes evolution as a separate progression process that may require materials in the lobby. Confirm that you are in [OG] All Star Tower Defense, return to the lobby, and look for the current Gate entry rather than a remembered location. A summoned unit is not in the lineup
Open the roster and confirm that the unit was actually awarded, then open the current loadout screen and add it using the control shown there. Check lineup capacity and any mode restriction displayed by the client. Do not assume that receiving a unit automatically equips it.
A unit disappeared after leveling
If you used a feeding or bulk-selection action, review the confirmation message and the roster history the game provides. The community leveling reference says fed units are removed from inventory, so a consumed unit may not be recoverable. Stop further actions until you identify the destination unit and the exact items selected.
