How to react when an entity appears
Watch and listen for a warning cue, then identify which response the situation calls for. The DOORS Wiki’s entity overview gives flickering lights, roars, and a “psst” as examples of cues, and describes hiding, looking away, and holding ground as different response types. It does not establish which specific entity uses each cue and counter in every current version or location.

- Flickering lights: Treat the change as a warning to pay attention and identify the threat. The available guidance does not verify a particular monster or counter from this cue alone.
- A roar: Notice the sound and assess what is happening rather than assuming every roar means you should hide.

Hide when hiding is the matching response
Some entities require you to hide, but hiding is not a safe default for every encounter. The available overview identifies hiding as one possible counter, without supplying a verified entity-by-entity list or the conditions that make hiding safe.

Look away when the encounter requires it
Looking away is a distinct response type in the entity overview. Do not substitute hiding for it, or assume that looking away works against other entities, unless the encounter’s behavior or current in-game guidance confirms that response.
Hold your ground when retreating is the wrong move
The overview also identifies holding ground as a possible counter. That is a reminder that movement is not always the answer; it is not a blanket instruction to stand still when an unfamiliar threat appears.

Why this is not a monster-by-monster counter list
DOORS includes entities across the Hotel, the Mines, and subfloors, and their cues and counters differ. The information available here does not reliably pair every named entity—including variants and newer additions—with its current cue, exact action, floor, and exceptions. Assigning those details without verification would risk sending players into an encounter with the wrong instruction. Check the current in-game behavior before relying on a specific monster matchup, especially in a different floor or subfloor.

What to expect from DOORS on Roblox
The Roblox listing presents DOORS as a horror experience and says Floor 2 is out. DoorsOfficialDev describes learning through trial and error: “HEAVILY RECOMMENDED to play without any help or guide, as the game is trial and error. Use each death as a lesson.” A guide can help you understand the broad idea, but the listing frames discovery as part of the game.
