The high-radiation point of interest is in eastern Hajin; the publisher says it contains loot exclusive to that area and requires an in-game gas mask to enter.
The publisher also lists radiation blockers among craftable consumables. It has not published exact exposure durations, radiation damage, gas-mask durability, or a confirmed protection timer in the cited material. Treat those details as unknown rather than relying on values from older DMZ games or community recollection.
Should you enter the high-radiation area?
There are two sensible choices: route around the point of interest, or enter with the required in-game gas mask to pursue its exclusive loot. Neither is established as the universally better strategy; the right choice depends on your objective and whether you can still reach an exit.

For Modern Warfare 4 DMZ, the publisher identifies the gas mask as an entry requirement for the eastern high-radiation area and radiation blockers as craftable consumables. The available official material does not establish how long either item lasts, whether blockers prevent all damage, or how their protection compares. Do not plan around an invented timer or assume a blocker replaces the required mask.

These are fictional game items. They do not make a real contaminated area safe and should not inform real-world emergency decisions.
If the threat is real, follow emergency instructions
If there is an actual nuclear or radiation emergency, stop treating it like a game and follow local alerts and instructions. CDC guidance is to get inside; walls in buildings can block much harmful radiation. If you are outside and cannot get indoors immediately, covering your mouth and nose with a mask, cloth, or towel may help reduce inhalation of radioactive material while you seek shelter. It is a temporary measure, not a substitute for getting inside. Follow authorities’ directions on whether to shelter or evacuate.
