Use /execute in to choose a destination dimension, then run a teleport command with coordinates in that dimension. The exact command depends on whether you play Bedrock or Java Edition.
Teleport to another dimension in Bedrock Edition
Bedrock’s current command reference supports running a nested command inside a specified dimension with /execute in <dimension>. Pair it with /tp, an alias for /teleport:
/execute in nether run tp @s 0 64 0
This example sends the command executor to coordinates 0, 64, 0 in the Nether. Replace nether with the destination dimension and change the coordinates to a suitable location. The dimension identifier shown here is from the Bedrock reference; do not assume its spelling is interchangeable with Java identifiers. See Microsoft’s Bedrock /execute command reference.
Teleport to another dimension in Java Edition
Mojang’s Java Edition Snapshot 18W02A announcement, from the 1.13 development period, gives this cross-dimension example:

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
/execute in the_nether run teleport 0 64 0
It demonstrates the approach and the identifier the_nether, but it is historical snapshot documentation—not confirmation that the exact syntax is unchanged in every current Java release, server fork, or plugin setup. Check /help execute and /help teleport in your version before relying on it. The example appears in Mojang’s Snapshot 18W02A announcement.

Use the command safely and target the right player
- Check permissions. In Bedrock, cheats must be enabled; Microsoft lists Game Directors as the permission level for the execute command. On a multiplayer server, you may need operator permission. See the Bedrock execute reference.
- Enter the command for your edition. Open chat or the relevant command interface, then use the matching example above.
- Choose coordinates in the destination dimension. The examples use coordinates only; they do not identify a universally safe landing spot. Pick a location appropriate for your world.
- Choose the target. In Bedrock,
@stargets the command executor in the relevant execution context. To teleport someone else, substitute that player’s name or a suitable selector for@s. The Bedrock teleport reference documents a target followed by coordinates. - Consider blocked arrivals. Bedrock’s teleport command has an optional
checkForBlocksboolean. Set it to true if you want the teleport to fail when the destination is occupied; the documented default is false. See the teleport command reference.
Why the command may fail
- “Unknown command” or permission errors: Confirm cheats and the necessary permissions are enabled, and verify the command syntax for your edition.
- The wrong player is targeted:
@smeans the command executor, not always the player you intend. A command block or server console can have a different executor context. Microsoft notes in its popular commands guide that/tp @s ...does not work in a command block in the described usage. - The dimension name is rejected: Identifier spelling can differ by edition or custom server environment. Use the identifier and syntax supported by your version rather than copying it across editions.
