Roblox does not document a sender-facing alert or history that confirms someone declined your friend request. If the person’s profile shows “Pending” or a loading icon in the mobile app, Roblox says the request has been sent and is still pending. If they accept, you receive a notification. If the request disappears or cannot be sent, that alone does not prove they rejected it.
What Roblox shows when a request is pending
On mobile, Roblox says a request that has already been sent may appear as “Pending” or a loading icon on the recipient’s profile. While it is pending, you cannot send that person another request. That status means the request has not been resolved; it is not a decline notice. See Roblox Support’s friend-request guidance.
How to check request status
- Open the person’s profile. Look at the friend-request control. In the mobile app, “Pending” or a loading icon indicates a sent request awaiting a response.
- Check the requests area. Roblox’s mobile instructions direct users to Friends > Requests to review incoming requests. This view is for requests awaiting the account holder’s action; Roblox does not say it provides the sender with a record of declines.
- Watch for an acceptance notification. Roblox says you receive a notification if the other person accepts. Its guidance does not describe a matching notification when someone declines.
Why a missing request does not prove rejection
Roblox says recipients can accept or decline requests, but a request that cannot be sent or no longer appears is not conclusive evidence of either choice. The support page lists other possible issues, including friend or request limits, detection of bot activity, and an age-related restriction affecting some users in Australia. These factors can affect whether a request is delivered or available, so do not infer intent from an ambiguous change in the profile control.
Should you send the request again?
Roblox says a declined request may be sent again, but advises against sending too many requests to the same person. If you choose to try again, send one request rather than repeatedly clicking or contacting the user. Roblox’s support page also lists a friend cap of 1,000 and says requests expire after two years; it does not display a publication date for those figures.
