What “time travel” means in Hello Kitty Island Adventure
There are two different things players may mean by “time travel.” The game has built-in controls for changing its time of day. Manually changing your device’s date or clock to access future or past content is a separate action, and the game-mechanics page attributes a strong warning against it to the developers.
How to change the in-game time of day
Use a Visitor Cabin bed
Interact with a bed in a Visitor Cabin to choose a different time of day. This is a built-in game mechanic and does not require changing your device clock.
Use Pekkle’s Dance All Night ability
After unlocking the ability, make Pekkle your companion and use Dance All Night to change the time of day. The ability is an alternative to using a Visitor Cabin bed.

The game-mechanics page describes the in-game cycle as approximately 60 minutes long, moving through morning, daytime, evening, and night. This is separate from the real-time daily reset, which that page lists as 7:00 AM GMT, or 6:00 AM GMT during daylight saving time. These timings are reported by the wiki page and may change with game updates.

The page also says that moving the device clock into the future may mean waiting for that date to pass naturally before affected mechanics return. That is an example, not a guaranteed recovery schedule for every save or every issue.
It further states that developers cannot fix save issues caused by time-traveling. Returning the device clock to the correct date therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed repair.

What about time zones or changing the clock for another game?
A reproduced Sunblink FAQ on the game-mechanics page says that natural travel across time zones or the date line should not affect the game. It also says changing device time for another game should not affect your save if Hello Kitty Island Adventure is not opened while the device time is manipulated. Treat that as the FAQ’s guidance, not a guarantee for every device or game version.
The wiki page does not establish platform-specific settings steps or confirm that every current version behaves identically. If your aim is simply to see a different time of day, use the game’s own controls rather than changing the device clock.
