To track income from a YouTube loop stream, open YouTube Studio and go to Analytics > Revenue. Use How you make money to separate revenue sources such as ads, Supers, and memberships, then use content performance to inspect results for a live stream when available. These figures are estimates; reconcile them later against finalized earnings in AdSense for YouTube. YouTube’s reports do not identify loop streams as a special accounting category.
Where to find loop-stream revenue in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio. Select Analytics, then Revenue.
- Choose “How you make money.” This revenue-source report shows estimated revenue by category, including ads, memberships, and Supers.
- Check content performance. Use the content report to inspect earnings for videos, Shorts, and live streams. YouTube’s current help describes live-stream earnings and RPM in content performance, though report labels and availability may vary as the Studio interface rolls out.
- Set the date range and identify the stream. Record the reporting period and the live-stream or content identifier so you can compare like with like.
Revenue may take up to two days to appear in Analytics. YouTube’s Analytics guide noted that an updated Studio experience was gradually rolling out starting in July 2026, so your exact labels or layout may differ.
Track ads, Super Chat, and memberships separately
Keep distinct records for each income source rather than treating a stream’s total estimated revenue as ad income. YouTube’s reports describe revenue categories, but do not establish a dedicated “loop stream income” export or guarantee that every source can always be attributed to an individual stream.

A practical reconciliation sheet can include the date range, stream/content identifier, displayed revenue source, currency, Studio estimate, and later finalized amount. This is a record-keeping workflow, not a claim that YouTube provides a single loop-stream export.

For ongoing monitoring: YouTube Studio
Studio Analytics is the place to monitor estimated revenue. Estimates can change after adjustments for invalid traffic, copyright claims or disputes, and certain ad campaign types. YouTube describes an initial adjustment about one week after revenue appears and another in the middle of the following month. Keep the estimate and its date in your records rather than silently replacing it.

For month-end reconciliation: AdSense for YouTube
Finalized previous-month earnings are generally added to AdSense for YouTube between the 7th and 12th of the next month. The finalized amount and withholding details are visible there. Timing and adjustments are general platform guidance and can depend on account circumstances. Add the finalized figure to your record alongside the Studio estimate, and note when the finalized amount supersedes it for reconciliation.
Use the right metric: estimated revenue, ad revenue, RPM, and CPM
- Estimated ad revenue refers to revenue from ads on videos.
- Estimated revenue covers multiple revenue types, including memberships, YouTube Premium, and Super Chat. Do not use it as if it were ad revenue alone.
- RPM is creator-focused: revenue after YouTube’s share across revenue sources, measured against views.
- CPM is advertiser-focused: it covers ads and YouTube Premium and is based on monetized playbacks before the creator revenue share.
RPM and CPM answer different questions and are not interchangeable. Nor do live-stream views show how many views generated revenue: YouTube says live-stream ad slots are not guaranteed to serve, and ad delivery depends on its systems.
Why reported income may not match a simple view count
A live stream’s views, ad impressions, and earnings are different measures. An ad slot may not serve for every viewer, and estimated amounts can later be adjusted. For a useful record, retain the source category and reporting period along with the estimate, rather than estimating income from views or combining all revenue into one ad figure.

Understand revenue shares without assuming a universal payout
YouTube’s partner overview describes a 55% share of net Watch Page ad revenue under the Watch Page Monetization Module and a 70% share of net revenue for memberships and Supers under the Commerce Product Module. These are module-level terms described by YouTube, not a guaranteed take-home amount for every creator. Applicable terms are in each creator’s agreements. The Super Chat help page further says the Supers share is calculated after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs such as credit-card fees. Check the modules and terms in your own Studio agreement, since eligibility and terms can change.
YouTube says transaction taxes such as sales tax, VAT, and GST are not revenue to Google and are not part of the partner revenue-share calculation. Your own tax obligations depend on your jurisdiction; consult local tax authorities or a qualified tax professional for personal tax guidance.

Keep a clean monthly record
- Choose a consistent date range and currency for each review.
- Enter each revenue source on its own line: ads, Supers, and memberships.
- Include the relevant stream/content identifier when the report supplies one; mark attribution as unavailable rather than assigning a source to a stream without evidence.
- Save the Studio estimate with the date you checked it.
- When the finalized prior-month amount appears in AdSense for YouTube, record it beside the estimate and note the reconciliation date.
