How to enable Arachnophobia Assistance
- Return to the main menu. The March 2025 Destructoid guide places the setting in the main-menu options.
- Open Options → Accessibility.
- Find Arachnophobia Assistance and check its description. The guide says it could not be toggled after entering a game. If you do not see the option or its behavior differs, check the description in your current game version.
Destructoid’s March 2025 guide provides the reported menu path. Monster Hunter Wilds is listed as a Steam product by the Capcom Town Store; the accessibility setting is part of the game, not a separate accessory.
What the setting changes
A 2024 beta report from AUTOMATON WEST described spider-like and insect-like creatures changing into blobby forms, with no reported change to their movement or difficulty. That is a beta observation, not a complete description of the current release. The report does not establish that every spider-like creature—or any particular large monster—is covered.
For current coverage, inspect Arachnophobia Assistance and its description in your installed version. There is no official, feature-specific source in the available reporting that confirms a definitive affected-creature list, so treat the option as a visual alteration rather than a guarantee that all spider-like designs disappear.

Will the green-blob look help?
The setting is most relevant if the original creature designs are uncomfortable to look at. The beta report describes blobby replacements, but the exact appearance and coverage in the current release are not established here. If those altered forms are also unpleasant, or if the setting does not cover a creature that bothers you, it may not fully address your concern.
There are no separate modes or purchases to compare: the practical question is whether the altered designs are more comfortable for you and whether the setting affects the creatures you encounter.
